Hey guys,

 

I have started playing this game in the last month or so and have to say that its brilliant, especially as it is free. It currently has the whole of Kanto and Johto and Hoenn will also be out very soon.. So I would highly recommend to give this a try!

I'm familiar with it,t I didn't really like playing it, but I am amazed it's managed to stay online for so long without a cease and desist.

Is that thing still alive? I used to be on the forums for it when it was in Alpha stuff, but I never actually played it. 

 

Once Nintendo gets a proper whiff of it, Cease and Desists will be sure to follow, so I wouldn't get to attached to the game even with it surviving this long.

I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo doesn't care about this thing or any of the fan made games about Pokemon for that matter. They're willing to slap a Cease and Desist on people who are selling Bulbasaur Planters but not those who are blatantly using their assets to make fan made games. I think they're far more concerned about the people making money off of it more than anything else.

How has Nintendo not shut this down yet? O_o I am not saying they should but we all know their track record. This is such an awesome concept, I wish Nintendo could do something official like this, but we all know that Nintendo just doesn't know how to do something on this scale.

This is kind of cool, though I don't have any idea how they haven't been shut down yet.

 

Also I find it hilarious that their terms of condition forbids people to copy or modify the materials. Can you be more of a hypocrite?

I don't think it's wise to get too attached to these sorts of games, Nintendo will kill it as soon as they get word of it. Nintendo probably knows how insanely popular an official MMO would be and I bet it's in an emergency playbook if the company starts dying.

 

Also as a side note, kind of lame that it's closed source. I wonder if they were smart enough to obfuscate their binary... C# is pretty easy to "decompile"
