Greater potential for Lightning dust to come back?

Now that RD is a Wonder bolt, I think its a perfect time for LD to return (maybe RD gets called by the map in the middle of a WB assignment,in uniform, and gets sent to LD to resolve her own friendship prob?) And LD is even more bitter, seeing that RD is a WB now? Think a summons by the map, on this one, should turn out with a happy ending? How do you think LD would react to seeing RD as a Wonder bolt, and trying to fix their friendship?

I honestly think this is a screenshot for a future S6 episode, plus Big Jim has been wanting to see Lightning back himself. For all my problems with S6, I can forgive all of it if she comes back and the episode is awesome

As a minor antagonist like Trixie or the Flim Flam Brothers there was always a possibility of her making another appearance, and although I don't think Rainbow Dash being a Wonderbolt increases the chances of it happening, the fact that the series appears to be preparing to wind up by tying up loose ends perhaps does.

 

I wouldn't object to seeing her again, but I'm not going to be upset if it doesn't happen, there are too many other character that I'd like to see get more screen time and she is way down the priority list.

She has potential. I don't think she was necessarily a bad pony, just misguided, and I actually find it easier to believe she could grow and learn her lesson than that Gilda can. She's a good contender for the least mean of the minor antagonists, I feel, and I'd really like to see her come back and try to learn from her mistakes.

Adding onto that, there was a page in the wonderbolts handbook in RD's journal part where she talks about another recruit who feels incredibly pressured about becoming a wonderbolt being the most important thing in life due to her family pressuring her into HAVING to do that and be a success.

 

 

I could easily see Lightning dust's Issues coming from being that recruit with a very demanding family; Hell, I think it'd make perfect sense if it turned out that Wind rider was her grandfather or uncle or something.

If the rumored episode Top Bolt ends up being legit, then Lightning Dust could show up again. I like that idea of the Cutie Map calling Rainbow Dash back to make up with her old training partner.

This seems quite likely, given the multiple early antagonists redeemed in recent seasons (Gilda and Trixie especially).

There are increasingly few villains/antagonists left evil nowadays. :-P

I think of Lightning Dust being kicked off the team as a temporary banishment. I can see her trying again to become a wonderbolt. Like Spitfire said, they are constantly looking out for the best flyers of Equestria and Lightning Dust is definitely one of them. I honestly hope Rainbow Dash doesn't have to convince her to change her ways. I am hoping that Lightning Dust already figured that out on her own.

I'm gonna guess that it's been a couple of Equestrian years since Lightning Dust got kicked out of the academy. Hopefully everypony has rightfully forgiven her and would allow her to train in the academy again. She could also try to become a reserve flyer like Rainbow Dash was before she was given full Wonderbolt status.
