KillerKingBakudan 702 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 (edited) The moon Celestia banished her to might just be a magical one with oxygen and a climate barely suitable for supporting life (Luna had to have eaten somehow). But what if it was an exact replica of the moon that's orbiting Earth? Would the conditions be enough to help her live indefinitely, or would she need to be constantly using magic to breathe, satiate hunger and stay warm? Castle Bleck 19,455 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 (edited) Probably the latter; she could probably survive, but only via direct spells rather than any convenient magical physics around. Choros Isorropai 409 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 i dont know for sure, but from what ive seen (probably not much compaired to others) i think luna was bannished to the moon, but in a noncoporial state... i dont think she actualy "lived" on the moon... 2 OC: https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/choros-isorropai-r9669 Blog: https://mlpforums.com/blog/3158-poetry-simply-that/ The unasked questions are what bother me, not the answers. Castle Bleck 19,455 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 (edited) According to the comics, she/NMM even met dream-powered aliens who lived there. Further proof of differing physics. Choros Isorropai 409 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 wow, i havent even seen the comics... i was just going by the cupple of eppisodes that shine a little light on the subject...(i would say what ones, but i cant think of them off hand...) Twilight Frost 271 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 The moon they have somehow has breathable air and an atmosphere of some kind. Plus they not only live in a geocentric universe, but one with the literal interpretation of what magic is. She would not last any longer than any other animal would, especially if i t was the dark side of the moon. She would die fairly quickly.
Jeric 46,884 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 According to the comics, she/NMM even met dream-powered aliens who lived there. Further proof of differing physics. What if, that was a non-coporeal experience like existing in a perpetual dream state where the other entities (I forget their name) were also in a non physical state as well. Everything we saw was a representative appearance, or something like that.

If she was in a noncorporeal state, I think that's something that should have been clearly mentioned considering she came back corporeal. cmarston1 5,964 September 5, 2016 Share September 5, 2016 I don't really think so. I am pretty sure that the physics and conditions would be a lot different than those form Equestria.
Twilight Frost 271 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 Not to mention that the worlds we both come from are extremely different. They probably would not be able to breath the same air we do. Everything from the atoms to the composition of the energy of what makes up the matter in that universe would most likely not be similar to ours enough to make it possible for any of us to survive in each others universe. The same reason goes for why we might not be able to breathe the air on any other planet than this one unless we make the air on that planet the same as it is on earth. We evolved over billions of years to breath this air and only this air....only. So breathing someone else's air would be either impossible or extremely difficult or have long term lasting effects that would be disastrous to lethal. To put it short, we cannot exist in each others worlds because our species evolved billions of years in time to match and adapt our environment, because if we didn't we wouldn't exist. Putting us into an environment that has an entirely different laws of physics and thus an entirely different dimension of space and time and energy, we might even collapse both universes or cease to exist or any number of unknown things could happen if we crossed over. Rawzy 1,302 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 (edited) I always thought that Luna was imprisoned in the moon spiritually, and to her it was like a 1000 year coma. Our universe does not portray such spiritual power, therefore she would be unable to be fused into the moon, and even if she was able to, then she would be in her physical form, thus she will die of starvation and probably not be able to breath..... ashi 261 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 Comics aren't canon. Luna probably wasn't literally walking around the moon for a thousand years (if she was, Celestia's the actual bitch the fandom makes her out to be at times). Probably, she was asleep/sedated/disembodied until the time was right for Nightmare Moon's escape.
Untitled Goose Q 5,138 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 The show indicates to me that Luna wasn't just deposited on the surface of the moon- remember the Mare-in-the-moon shape? Luna could survive on our moon, although she may need a spacesuit to do so. 1 On 4/22/2016 at 6:16 PM, The Nightly Spectre said: One does not ask why The Questioner is awesome. FlutteringDweamz 2,086 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 I wonder if alicorns even need to breath. Remember, the world of ponies is filled with...magic o.o; Still, i'm sure she still needed to eat and drink all those years xD Aka "LadyPKchu". I changed my name again cuz lately fluttershy has been more my favorite pony :3 I like her innocence, and I think I may get active in the fluttershy fan club. I really like a lot of the other main 6 too though. I'm also a FlutterDash supporter. I still love Korrina from pokemon a lot and plan on keeping my Korrina profile for now
Sunny Fox 5,961 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 Luna / NMM was magically sealed into the moon, she was never on its surface, and I can prove it. Pics from Princess Twilight Sparkle And when she came back, that shape vanished. Pics from the pilot As for the comics, we can (neigh, must) consider the Nightmare Rarity arc as non-canon, due to contradiction with actual show canon. Earlier in Princess Twilight Sparkle we saw Luna become Nightmare Moon, and there were no moon creatures involved. I usually just say "fudge the comics", but here, I don't even need to. Oh, and if you tell me they were involved, but just invisible, I'd have to ask you for (non-comic, obviously) evidence of that. Happy minion of The Fabulous One!
