Does Shining Armor's voice get deeper on duty?

If that is the case than it is a fairly subtle change that Shining Armor probably isn't aware of himself, if there is a change it is likely due to a subconscious effort to sound more authoritative.

Well, I would not say it deepens when he is on duty, but it definitely deepens when he is serious.

A deeper voice commands more respect. I think he does it on purpose, since he is the captain of the guards.

We like to portray authoritative figures as someone who can execute commands precisely and clearly. For Royal Guard Shining Armor, we see him in a the same matter. Its the image we always see as when a person is in uniform we see and hear them with respect and authority.

Well it would be professional to speak deeper in a more serious situation and then lighten around friends and family.
