Captain Trench was fond of pretending that he was still as important as he was twenty years ago. He was strutting outside with his usual confidence. He would never admit it, but he was tired of seeing pegasi walking, or flying around freely. 'You listen here,' His father would say 'If it can fly, and it ain't a bird, it ain't natural! Them Pegasi need ta be put on a leash! Now don't you let me see you with any of 'em!' Every day it was the same speech.

 

Well, after a few cups of cider he intended to do something that would make his father proud. He was the Captain of the guard after all. He would have to be the one to get them off the streets!

He came back to reality once again, this time paying attention to a smiling Skylar. He bit his lip and shook his head in shame. "I apologize for that Sky - its a bit of a bad habit. My name is Parker!" Parker let a big smile out in response, before whispering under his breath "...plain parker..."

Delighted to hear Ivy's words Prince bounced back to the table. "You like? Really?" he said with overflowing excitement.

Trench caught a glimpse of Sugar Rush in the window. Pegasus. He sipped the last of his Cider and threw it to the floor. I gotta start somewhere.

Ivy smile and got it out the box. Her eyes glowed at the sight of it. This must of coast a hoof and wing . She got up and ran and hugged Prince "Thanks!" She then blush as she saw her reaction.

Trench stumbled to the door. A concerned unicorn tried to stop him. "Woah, you should lie down!"

Trench pushed him aside. "No. I'm not as think as you drunk I am!"

He wobbled to the door and tried to knock, missing several times.

striker noticed the old pony outside the window starring at him and the others but decided not say to anything about it,

but just in-case something happened he prepared his body for fighting just like in the everfree forest.

Prince blushed even more so than Ivy. "I need to give her presents more often" he thought himself. Still flustered he tried to regain his composure before she noticed. " Princes aren't allowed to blush!" he thought to himself, his blush became smaller but still visible. "In glad you love it!" he said with a great smile.

Hearing the knocking on the door, Parker turned in curiousity on how messily a pony could get attention when trying to answer at the front. He went to Midnight and asked. "Hey, would you mind if I got that?"

Trench thought for a moment. "This is the Roy-*HIC*-Royal Guard! Open up... please."

Ivy shock her head "I don't mind" She said. Still light headed from the hug. She put all 3 hooves on the ground and opened other present. She looked on the label "oh look! its from Parker" She grined. She paused royal gaurd? what where they doing here! she thought.

"Alright. Try not to get too excited with the gift." Parker said sheepishly as he made his way to the door, only to find a drunken pony stand before him when he opened it. "...you're a royal guard, sir?"

Six String had just made it to Ponyville when he noticed the drunk pony in front of the house. Curious, he sat and watched what was going to happen.

He held out a hoof. "Captain Trench, sir." He looked behind Parker to see only alicorns and pegasi. One at a time, he thought. Just a routine... checking thing. may I come in? Or do I need a Warrant?"

Ivy looked up at Prince and looked back at the royal guard " I guess you can come in..." she said.

"Didn't I just say? Captain Trench: War hero, The first earth pony to become a Captain of the Royal Guard. I thought at least somepony would know." He turned to Ivy. "Thank you."

"what do you want?" striker said in a menacing tone to the drunk royal guard

"You watch your tongue bir... Pegasus. What is your name?" Might as well try him.

"My name is striker born from the everfree forest, now what do you want?"

Sixs eyes widened when the pony had noticed him. Ducking his head down, he began walking away hoping he wouldn't be stopped by any other pony in there.

He looked at the stack of presents and formulated a plan. "I want... to use your restroom. Where might that be?"
