There is a graphic novel series called Dreamkeepers.

It's a graphic novel series that takes place in a place called the Dreamworld, inhabited by beings called Dreamkeepers. These Dreamkeepers have special abilities called powers which they use to defend against creatures called Nightmares. But for a while, the Nightmares have been thought to be myths, and powers have long been outlawed. But now the Nightmares are returning, and only five young Dreamkeepers can save their world. 

Be warned. This is not for kids. The characters might look like cartoon animals, but there is a lot of blood, violence, swearing, and suggestive themes.
