Where are the borders between Equestria and its bordering countries?

Hey @@Feather Data, moved your thread over to Show Discussion since it's discussing an aspect of the show.

 

There's the Crystal Empire and Yakyakistan up north, the Griffon Kingdom (or just Griffinstone?) and the Dragon Lands are also pretty close, and I'm guessing Saddle Arabia and the homeland of the Zebras are also pretty close to Equestria.

This question will be formally answered by the 2017 movie. The official synopsis even hints at it in case you didn't notice:

 

"In order to stop a threat to the town of Ponyville, the "Mane Six" – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity – must travel beyond Equestria, meeting new friends and overcoming challenges in the process."

You could always check the official map the show staff have provided in the past, although a new version will be needed to incorporate Griffinstone, Yakyakistan, and the Dragon Kingdom into it since those are their own kingdoms separate from Equestria.
