ggg-2 3,555 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 If they seemingly existed solely on feeding on love, why bother having teeth? Don't be a nerd. Join the herd!
BastementSparkle 20,335 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 For offensive purposes, they can bite their foes/prey with their sharp fangs. Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to?

Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,202 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 Same question could be asked about their tongues almost. Something tells me they don't use those to 'taste' love. Sure, they are still useful for talking, but those are some wicked looking tongues for just that. Most likely, it is an evolutionary thing. Both the fangs and the sharp tongue could be to ward off others they either do not like or do not want to fight with. Makes sense to me. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell. Victoria Sponge 1,019 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 To relate them to vampires and leeches which seems to be what the changelings are.

cmarston1 5,964 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 I guess there is no in universe reason for this. The animators and character designers just thought it would be cool for changelings to have fangs.
GrimGrimoire 4,973 November 12, 2016 Share November 12, 2016 It is all about appearance. Changelings just are meant to look like villainous creatures.. what do villainous creatures have? Fangs! Well a bunch of them do. ~No profound statement needed~
Subscriber Denim&Venöm 20,472 November 12, 2016 Subscriber Share November 12, 2016 The presence of fangs, as well as their overall build, does suggest that they are predatory in nature. Wings to essentially make them areal predators, long legs & hooves to out pace slower animals, and long fangs to latch onto and carry prey, much like the descendants of the saber-tooth tiger would. Fangs also suggest that love may be a key part of their feeding, but not the entire thing. Needing to eat emotion maybe more akin to a human needing water. Both are vital for life, but they need other food sources to be sustained. If they just needed love, they probably wouldn't need mouths at all. So based on the evidence, changelings need to hunt down prey for more conventional sustenance.
