ManaMinori 4,145 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 Disney has brought back old classics like the Lion King, and I think Beauty and the beast, remastered, back to theatres, on occasion. Should Hasbro do the same, showing runs of the remastered g1 movie in the weeks to come, before g4's movie hits the big screen? (Or before trailers start popping up, so the g1 movie won't Impact g4's?) cmarston1 5,959 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 I don't think that the first G1 movie is popular enough with to warrant something like this happening.

TheAnimatorOfficial 567 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 HELL NO. That would only drive down the chance of success.
Black Sabbath 2,486 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 No. I don't think that the g1 movie is popular enough for Hasbro to do this.
Megas 27,704 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 (edited) It's kind of faded into obscurity, there isn't much desire to see the original movie. It's not very popular. And honestly the only thing worth remembering is the Smooze, Otherwise, it feels like a glorified episode of a TV show Edited November 17, 2016 by Soundwave

Agreed, plus that might have a negative impact since there's quite a difference between the two versions.
Ganondorf8 11,322 November 17, 2016 Share November 17, 2016 Hmmm... I wouldn't show the generation one movie in theatres whether it was the remastered version or not. From what I remember, it wasn't very well received when it was initially released, so doing that might detract audiences from wanting to check out the generation four movie. Instead, I would air it on television as a special just to see what would happen.
