Reactions from Friends and Family

Of knowing I am a brony? Well for me it ranged from accepting, apathetic, to aggravated. My youngest brother and I actually bonded over the show when he found out, my mother was proud is offered me an avenue to new friends and social connections, my Dad just considered it yet another thing I like no different than Pokemon or the like, my middle brother however reacted profoundly negatively to it. It drove a wedge between us that, while got resolved, the impact on our relationship is still felt today. We disagree more readily than we used to.

My parents are okay with me being a brony especially since it was a better choice than some other alternatives I had which I won't mention due to privacy reasons. As for friends outside of the online world, they don't know about it and I've no intention of telling them since they have their own hobbies they don't want me to know about.

My parents don't know what bronies are. They thought you were a brand of soup for a while, so that was a problem. My friends are all very anti brony, furry comic con- if it's got a con they probably rip on it. It's like an unspoken rule.

And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!

Well they already know that I'm a Brony just by the show but I assumed that your question reflects the movie's screening primarily. I wouldn't think that it's any different from watching at home compared going to a theater.
