Some here and there still do it, but no one too popular. If you really wanna find some go to mlp playlists on youtube and check out each artist, and look up genres of music plus the word mlp in the search.

It is sad that they've left.  Some of my favorite brony musicians have gone on to do more professional work unassociated with MLP and some have just disappeared.

I think it's either MLP was an enabler that started their work into music, or they might have used it to gain some recognition.  Some musicians don't even want the word "brony" labeled on them anymore, which caused them to delete all their pony songs and change their name.  It really does suck  :sunny:

Well, I remember Twitch. There was also WeimTime, who still does MLP stuff but also does other fandom music now. TheLivingTombstone has done similar things. I'm not sure if WoodenToaster is still making music. I'm assuming most of them have moved on to other projects or are doing completely different things with their lives.

It truly is a mystery. Two of the most well-known musicians from the fandom were The Living Tombstone and WoodenToaster, and they've both stopped making pony music. Looking at a YouTube playlist of music released in December 2016, the only names I recognize are Reverb Brony, 4everfreebrony, 174UDSI, Silva Hound, I Bring Da LULZ, and Prince Whateverer. And none of them are quite as well-known as some of the people who were making music when the fandom was at its peak.

There's a stigma against bronies (brony music) and no professional will take a brony (musician) seriously in the music industry. It's a major handicap

Removing the restriction for pony themes frees up artistic creativity

The requirements for making a song brony make it cringy (samples from the show) or are too limiting (remixes from something MLP/brony, lyrics relating to MLP)\

As people get older, they lose free time and energy. That gets spent on the 1 or 2 jobs they have to do to afford food, rent, electricity, internet, commuting to work, taxes, cell phones, and whatever other costs there are to staying alive

Also, people's interests change. Dedication to 1 thing only for people is rare. MLP started on October 10, 2010

Back in the early days of the fandom, there was almost 0 competition among brony musicians to get noticed and the fandom was in its early stages of development which gained popularity ultra fast. They claimed significantly huge portions of the market before anyone else joined. Gaining momentum as a new brony musician is so much more difficult because there's so much more competition already established. The target audience has already been burned out to a degree of the music

Objection!

Evidence: Lullaby for a Princess. Not cringy.

Ya know, I was going to say something, but then these two said it better than I ever could, so yeah what they said. :P

Problem is, the majority of brony music produced today is mostly repetitive electronic music, which sadly most of the fandom's non-musicians have taken an extreme liking to it and don't appriciate the other genres...sad if you ask me, especially when MandoPony and others like him were at their peak...

I don't like all of the songs but some of them are good, #6 - 1 are very good I think!

favorites: #6, #4, #2, #1, what are you guys talking about? Instead of bemoaning past musicians, lets support the great ones still here!
