Thoughts on this season so far?

In my opinion, this season is looking greater and greater by the minute! However, What could be waiting for the Mane 6 at the end of this season? What's in store for our heroes after this season? I asked the directors if MLP is going anywhere anytime soon, and Denny Lu (Correct me if i'm wrong) said no, which means there will be more than just this season, which i'm really happy to hear. Unlike CP (Which for a long time I thought wasn't going anywhere until this march... RIP Club Penguin 2005-2017), I have a feeling that this generation of MLP is going to be going on for quite a while. And i'm really happy knowing that! Whatever comes the Mane 6's way, whatever the directors come up with for our heroes, Me and probably a bunch of other bronies will be there until the very very end. But i'm getting off topic. What are your thoughts for Season 7?

Apart from the last two episodes this season has been pretty good so far. Parental Glideance is looking like a top 5 contender for my favorite episodes

I'm not enjoying it very much, sadly. I did quite like "A Flurry of Emotions" and "Parental Glideance," but aside from those two it's been one miss after another for me, and I'm fairly certain I've enjoyed season 7 less than I enjoyed any other season up to this point. Just not having much fun with it.

Aside from Hard To Say Anything, season 7 is pretty good so far imo. HTSA is the only bad episode I've seen.

You gotta give credit to Peter New for finally majorly voicing Big Mac for the first time this season. Something tells me this'll be the only time he'll be majorly speaking, however...

Okay, you guys may be wondering why I put dots next to The Perfect Pear. Well... I don't wanna give out spoilers, so all I got to say is, watch the episode when it comes. The description for it is weird, but it looks like it's going to be a good episode.

As for episodes I'm looking forward too, Fame and Misfortune sounds like a fun meta episode, similar to STFF, it'll be fun to see the writers poke fun at fandom tropes and debates

I kinda hope they poke fun at Rainbow Falls (again).

And to answer the OP's questions:

1. Liked Celestial, ABU, Flurry of Emotions, and Glideance. Hated the last two. The others were a-meh. */Emoji Movie reference*
2. Currently look forward to Discordant Harmony the most. So far, the Discord/'Shy relationship isn't convincing at all with except one scene in the beginning of Dungeons. Hopefully, they can develop it better.
3. So far, so good for S7. Sure, the last two were terrible, but an awful episode's to be expected. Hopefully, it can bounce back.

The season has been pretty poor so far. There hasn't been any truly "good" episodes apart from a flurry of emotion (Which actually greatly surprised me in how I enjoyed it). Past that... eh, its been at best "Kind of good but still meh" to "Outright horrible".

Honestly, from S4 onward, the show feels like its been in a straight downward slope (S5 being worse than 4, S6 worse than 5, and now S7 worse than 6), and there's not a whole lot of light here at the end of the tunnel about it picking up it seems.


I'm actually kind of interested in the perfect pear, if only to see if they actually confirm AJ's parents being dead, but... eh, with So much of the old Writing staff being gone and the Lukewarm showing so far, not expecting a lot sadly

Looking forward to: "Not Asking for Trouble." Could be funny. Others seem like they could go sour easily, and given my thoughts on this season, I'm not getting my hopes up.

I will wait for the last 4 episodes of the first half to form my opinion about this season so far, they are 4 episodes that i am really looking forward to, any of them failing can affect my thoughts about this season...

To be honest, it's off to a pretty miserable start... I've only really only enjoyed watching two of the nine episodes so far (Celestial Advice and Fluttershy Leans In)...

I really hope there are actually good episodes coming, because I have a feeling I might lose interest in the show if this trend of  Hasbro releasing subpar and bad episodes continues. The main problem for me is the (sorry if I offend you somehow with this, though I shouldn't be worth getting offended over...) cringe factor. I feel like most of the episodes in the season have been cringy to varying degrees... "Hard to Say Anything" is narrowly easier to watch than Gen 3 episodes... By narrowly, I mean basically not at all. Might as well be watching one with better animation.
