Other famous stories that MLP could parody and/or take their own twist on

I just watched the hearts warming carol again an hour ago and it's still one of my favorite episodes of season 6. I thought to myself, how about they do something like this again, for another episode?

Maybe it can be Spike this time, who Twilight is reading to. They can take their own twist on some of these famous stories, like Spike being someone like Robin Hood, or King Arthur, or Oliver Twist, or mowgli. The Possibilities are endless.

 

What do you guys think? Wouldn't that be great?

These are usually pretty fun to watch. Would love to see some classic fairy tales done like Rapunzel or Cinderella. Or heck, maybe even Journey to the West

Well if I were to think of a famous story that I would like to see FIM adapt, I think I would have to go with the Prince and The Pauper.

In the show's universe I can see Celestia wanting a break from having to deal with obnoxious royals all the time, so if an episode where to be about a story called "The Princess and the Pauper" we already have one of the ponies to play the fictional characters right there.

As long as it's an affectionate parody of Disney-style fairy tales and not a harsh Take Take! against it like what happened in "Hard to Say Anything", I say go for it!

Well, hard to say anything just had a just simple little nudges. I am talking about an episode that really focuses on that story, instead of being just a little sidegag.

Ooh, how about "Alice in Wonderland"?

For example, they could have Fluttershy play Alice & Pinkie Pie & Trixie could play The Mad Hatter & March Hare.

Well, they show It's a Wonderful Life every year.  IMO, it wouldn't work with any of the Mane 6, not even Fluttershy.  + Trixie is too self confident to doubt herself that way Maybe with Spike in the George Bailey role?
