Until now, the Mane 6 hoarder the spotlight, and of course ideas for them are running thin, so makes sense to explore side characters at this point. FirePuppy 736 June 30, 2017 Share June 30, 2017 Besides, at least four of the Mane Six ponies have all got what they need as of mid-Season 7, plus Fluttershy in episodes that Pinkie Pie doesn't play big roles in. All I want for Pinkie Pie in Season 8 is just one more episode with Fluttershy and one with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, while everything else can go to the side characters (including Starlight), seeing as though all of them (and Spike) still aren't sharing roles with each other in any of their Season 7 episodes. Hell, they even and finally gave the Royal sisters an ep doing such and it was GOOD! Yet as @Steve Piranha: The rich unexplored history. Which is a sad factor in given the hints of this history of what made the world, events and mention of even like Firefly in the Wonderbolts. Or Star-beard and his history with the sisters or even how he came to be and etc! Sadly I feel in this, we only get bits of the whole feast when we get this history/folklore of the show. I think the side characters most get big roles from time to time, but not every episode. If I don't understand something or Interpret it wrong, I'm dutch. Sometimes I gamble for meanings of the words. And sometimes I write the wrong words, like week and weak for example. Sorry for it already. Goat-kun 2,530 July 1, 2017 Share July 1, 2017 There's a difference between focusing on supporting characters because you need them to tell an arc-related story while most main characters are still having a big impact within the arc, and focusing on supporting characters because you don't know what else to do.
