movies/tv Toonami is returning

Adult Swim took a page out of the book now, after thei April Fools Joke they asked their twitter base if they wanted Toonami back. As of May 16, 2012 it was announced that May 26, 2012 that Toonami will be relaunched by popular opinion.

 

 

 

Though personally I'm not into anime unless you count Pokemon, the bringing back of Toonami by a twitter movement started by the actual company seems oddly familiar..... Have some companies finally gotten the information that the internet can help them make money rather than just "offend" their copyrights? Are they beginning to run back to the 90's/80's style? What do you think?

Well, honestly I think that the Twitter thing was more likely just for show. I don't think they would have even gotten to the point of teasing the return of Toonami to us unless they didn't already fully intend on returning it.

I wonder if it will be good old Toonami where they had game reviews and reran some older anime like Tenchi Muyo.

I have shed manly tears after seeing that Toonami is going to return to Adult Swim and not on Cartoon Network. To be honest, I didn't like CN much anyway, since new shows are less entertaining than the old shows in the past. I'm definately looking forward to it next week.

I grew up with Toonami. I missed part of the April Fools thing, I was at work, but my mom called me up around 12:30 and told me Toonami was on, I didn't believe it. I was sad that it was only for one night though.

 

This announcement is freaking epic. Seriously, Toonami introduced me to anime, and if it weren't for it, I don't think I'd be a fan of MLP now, if watching TV at all. Now all they need to do is bring Dragon Ball Z back home. And Naruto, One Piece and so on. All I can say, I can't wait until Saturday!

Well so far the line-up ain't very impressive but seeing how they have a very limited budget this really doesn't come up as a surprise.
