Just don't go too overboard on predictions and whatnot. We already have plans for what's going on with the area. So either those images aren't up to date, or they're flat out a lie... probably a lie! Robot's probably trying to do something seedy... you know how evil robots are! Can't trust em'... or... golems... whatever we're calling Luster.

Hey, that's now how it seemed from where I was sitting. Blurting out like that in front of a superior officer is NOT okay. Plus, we never said they knew each other. I was just filling in the blanks. All he's doing is delivering some collective punishment for her being disrespectful. This is a professional military after all. 

Plus, try to remember most of these are assumptions in the captain's head. That doesn't necessarily mean it's the case...

@Lektra Bolt the captain has literally a thousand troops just thrown into his command for this. You think he can look up everyone's record in the span of a few hours? Plus, they aren't going to describe all attitudes and dispositions, just qualifications and commendations. Even so, it doesn't matter what the records say she's like, she's still acting in a way that's inappropriate. 

But... you don't speak so informally to your superior, especially in front of their superiors. Plus, you never EVER tell your superior your bored... It's like saying "Hey, you're not giving me enough to do, so you're doing something wrong here." That's why he ordered her to bring her company to formation in front of him. So he could give them something to do... and punish her for being rude. 

No second chances, no warnings. A soldier, especially one in a leadership position, should already know what's acceptable and what's not. This is discipline. 

Lastly, I'm trying to figure stuff out to keep things interesting in this RP while we wait around in the city... he doesn't give a damn what kinda score he's gonna get cus he doesn't know she's even there.

So @Denim&Venom is gonna be downsizing the group. Blades company can fly, slower than the Air company but they can. The Ground company can't, and neither can Candor.

How are we doing this guys? Who's going? Is the entire Earth Pony regiment going to be told to go back to the barracks with the Magic and Air companies downsizing? Candor can take a flying vehicle type construct

Airships. Agreed. However, the weather is rather frightful in this new world, not always the safest option... but the quickest. 

Candor would prefer more heavies than scouts or magic. He's a ground infantry kinda guy. Guess we're ditching the golems though.

Eh, airships might be the better option here. They still need to haul supplies and have a place to sleep during the expedition. Clinging to the backs of a few giant golems would be dangerous and uncomfortable. Plus, airships provide a more stable platform for command and control.

I thought you meant like quadrapedal pony like magic machines that were just giant versions of ponies but made out of metal and machinery and whatnot. Like Luster but bigger and not quite as intelligent or spirited. I mean, I'd still call Luster a golem. Just a smaller and older one.

Captain Candor would like to offer a suggestion:

50 Heavy, 16 flight, 16 magic, and 2 Juggernaut Golems (they're pretty heavy I imagine? Like tanks?) per airship, assuming they're the size of an average destroyer carrying a crew of 275, cut down to an effective crew of 75 or so for future efficiency and automation. leaving a spot for 200 passengers per ship without compromising combat effectiveness. 

Oh uh, I guess that leaves us with a ditachement of... oh... 950 crew and troops... Hey, I cut it down by 50!

You know, the more I think about it, the more I realize it might look even more like an invasion force coming from air with six airships...

We have the other kind, but don't think we can take many or any of those? Denim could you decide how many of each company are going inside the six Carriers, and how many giants? Evenly distributed 3 and 3 for advance and reinforcement?

I don't imagine the air ships being too big. New Everfree isn't that resource rich, or else they'd have reclaimed all of Equestria through air superiority alone by now. 

I'd imagine them being more akin to long range bombers. Take a stealth bomber and scale it to the size of an air bus.That would be how I see Equestria doing long range air craft in a resource scarce world. Those can carry 850 people plus luggage. So I'd halve that number for space to be used for armor, ammunition, gunnery turrets, extra fuel, and cargo space.  Add that the passengers and crew woudl need places to sleep and that takes up more space. So half the number again. I'd imagine room for 300 passengers and crew. 

Also, I recommend zeppelins because those can remain in an area longer where as an air ship would be traveling fast or be too heavy to keep in the air for too long. The reserves would need to wait behind. Unless you plan on having the air ships fly in a holding pattern and get occasionally refueled

so something more of a simple transport with crew manned weapons for the passengers to use as needed. Just two then, with 250 per with only a little bit of space for golems. 150 heavy troops, 50 flight, and 50 magic per airship then, not including a small crew to pilot the airships (if we decide to use zeplins)

@Denim&Venom Basically mechanical ponies and whatnot like Luster, taking on roles like tanks and such. Think ATAT or ATST n' such... I think. Varying from normal size to fairly large. (Hope that's correct @Lektra Bolt)

Normal size and fairly large are pretty relative terms. AT-STs are pretty damn big, let alone AT-ATs. 

I can see them being akin to a tank. A four seater, vaguely equine shaped APC. Or perhaps borrowing a page from Ghost in the shell, they'd be more like single seater mini-tanks the size of a truck. Perhaps even based off of Luster's prior model design, the mark IV, her first foray into militaristic design.

sorry, normal size as in the size of a pony to the size of an ATAT depending on purpose and whatnot. Some are automated, some are manned, etc. I think that's where we ended up. So Ghost in the Shell would probably be the best comparison.

I imagine it being logistically unfeasible, lacking the resources or horse power to do so. One city isn't taking back a continent.
