searching Diplomats, Assassins, and Manipulators

-Overview-

For many years, Equestria and its neighbors have enjoyed relative peace and prosperity. However, exploration of new worlds has never really been a priority. Recently, this has changed with the arrival of an airship sailing from across the western ocean. A great Empire, one which claims to be all powerful, has arrived to invite an Equestrian envoy to their shores. There, they hope to explain their national ambitions while creating a strong ally of Equestria. 

Little is known about the Eldeer, merely that they hail from a continent surrounded by ocean in the middle of the great expanse to the west. From there, they've spread to much of the lands further westward in sprawling colonies. At least, that's what they claim. They 'prove' such claims by offering strange trinkets carved into the shapes of giant lizards, seas monsters, and some simpler tribal designs formed from exotic materials. Despite the bragging, they seem genuine in their desires to make 'friends' with Equestria and their neighbors. 

You, along with a select few and your retinue, have been chosen to accompany the Eldeer back to their Empire for an initial diplomatic mission. It has been concluded that you will no doubt have the best interest of Equestria at heart, and will therefore be permitted to draft initial deal with this new empire relating to trade, travel, and the establishment of embassies. 

-So Basically-

This is essentially an RP regarding your character, and any characters you bring with you, and their 'diplomatic' adventure in the homeland of the Eldeer... high elves, in other words XP 

It is there you will encounter diplomats, assassins, and manipulators trying to deceive and manipulate the talks in order to destroy any possible positive relationship with Equestria. 

 

-My Terms...-

Sorry... I have a few rules in my RP...

• 1x1 preferably, but if you have a friend who you know will post reliably 1x2 is cool!
• Well... posting reliably. Hopefully at least once a day, once every two is okay since... well... life!
• I'll be the dungeon master/game moderator etc., whatever you want to call it. 
• I try to be fair, I will decide the final outcomes of all actions! Success or failures!
• Of course, if you don't like those outcomes or think they're unfair, feel free to bring it up to me in OOC!
• Equestrian species only! Griffons, changelings, changed-lings, ponies, bat ponies, etc. cannon characters welcome! I... am open to negotiations.

Seems cool, though not a big fan of 1x1. If this ever becomes a three, or four person group though then I may be interested.

I know exactly how you feel, I've had to manage 40 man groups before, along side two other DMs . Though from experience I've done 4 person groups that have lasted over a year, and some that last only a week. Its usually how active the users are. Though you're the DM so its ultimately up to you. If you do decide to do 3 or 4 person groups lemme know and I'll give you my OC information.

Hmm...I've never used Unicorn Will Guide and his Changeling counterpart in a story involving assassins that much, if at all. But they would what they can to keep the peace. If you think I can give a decent performance in this RP, I'd be interested in joining.

He he, can't quite say I've done 40 at once, the most in one thread I've ever had I think was like seven. I've done intertwining multiple threads a few times though, those are a blast! Keeps the different groups competing against each other while still going at their own pace and what not. Don't worry, I'll probably have a follow up RP with the same premise with more people following the *aftermath* of however our diplomat handles it...

Speaking of our diplomat... I'd be happy to have you as our main protagonist! I feel like the last RP didn't pan out so well, still feel bad about that mess... probably left a bad taste in your mouth I imagine >.< but-! I hope you enjoy this one, your character seems the perfect fit!

It takes place during the era of the show, so nothing too crazy, and if you've watched the show you have all the background info on that end. The only difference: The strange Eldeer ship arriving. I've also been operating under the premise that Equestrians don't really know much about the wider world beyond the Equestrian continent and the griffon kingdoms. 

Does all that sound okay? Feel free to ask any questions or anything if you need clarification. A lot of other info will be revealed during the RP itself, though... it's up to you to decide if it's all lies or truth... mu ha ha haha!

I've watched every episode of the main show up to the end of Season 7, yes!

By my character being main character, You mean both Unicorn and Changeling Will Guides sharing a body? Why do you think they'd be a perfect fit?

Also, you mentioning Equestrians not knowing about Eldeer: I think it's a great idea, since the audience and players get to learn about this new world through our characters' interactions, wouldn't you agree?

Most definitely! I find it's the best way to work out the world without all the hubub of a world building thread... while testing it out at the same time. 

Well, he seems the kindly type. Not rash? Though I'm not 100% certain. I feel as though as far as 'cooler heads' goes, he might be one of the better ones out there. A lot of adventure type OCs tend to be more rash and hot headed. If that makes sense >.< (and by he, I think I'm referring to both at once?)

But any who, feel free to bring along any NPCs you wish to control along the way. If you don't have any extras you want to bring along, I have plenty who will accompany them.

You think Unicorn Will could be the representative of the Ponies on behalf of Princess Celestia while Changeling Will can be representative of the Changelings on behalf of Changeling Leader Thorax?

Both are kind and would seek friendly relations between countries.

Oh hey XD I actually hadn't thought about that. That actually fits in kind of well then. That would certainly make things more convenient for the two kingdoms. i imagine their goals are mostly aligned together. 

Did you have any additional characters you would like to bring along, or any type of npc in particular you want to come along? Like guards, nobles, that sort of thing? If not, like I said, I can throw a few of my own in there to add to things.

Other than that, I think we'd be ready to begin. Likely we'll start out as the Equestrian ship is arriving in the Eldeer city accompanied by their own ship. Or, would you like to start more towards the first encounter with the Eldeer, or more like just after when everyone has been made aware of their presence.

Yeah, the 2 Wills' Goals are the same. They are soul mates literally AND figatively. 

I've never made nor control NPC guards or nobles before. Just throw some in that you think I can handle.

You can start whenever of those 3 options and I'll respond accordingly.

But the way, should Changeling Will be in his "Butterfly" form?

It's getting late. So to bed I go for work tomorrow. I'll respond when I can?

Sure! I kinda like his look, you don't see a lot of evolved changeling OCs. But totally go with the butterfly form. 

And alright, I'll have some regulars accompany him. I'll start the thread sometime today, though I don't know when exactly. Been a busy week. And don't worry too terribly about posting all the time. We don't need like five posts in one day or something. Once a day or once every other day is good enough for me XD

Sorry, starting at the Eldeer's glittering city. Figured the boat ride want necessary.

This is where they start learning more about the deer, they don't really know much else other than they're there if that makes sense
