Tzatziki is a sauce or dip mostly made of yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, cucumber and mint.

Lunch time, Eggs Benedict, 2 eggs, 3 bacon (needs using up), spinach, toasted English muffin, fried courgette & red pepper...

Supper, paté on dry toast with my version of Russian salad (pickled cucumber instead of gerkins in brine, is it? Has to be said the vinegar does give it a zing) - side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, grated carrot, red pepper, spring onions, dash more mayonnaise (it's also in the Russian salad), tea.....

It was always a tradition in our house to have a special 'Boxing Day lunch', as I still do, the essential ingredient being Bubble And Squeak, which is basically mashed potato and cabbage mashed together, or could be Brussel sprouts, which is what I used today, and fried in a skillet until going brown on the surface (ideally, but I never completely manage to do that). Turkey, sausage (or sausage meat), and stuffing, leftover from Christmas Day, are eaten with it cold, with pickles, in this case pickled beetroot and pickled onions, Piccalili pickle, Branston pickle, ketchup, Cranberry sauce.....

Later, Christmas Pudding with custard (nectar of the gods), later still, a midnight snack of sheese, tomato & lettuce sandwich with sandwich spread, tea .....
