"Hopefully not, because that would mean you would die and I would survive." her tone was surprisingly cold "But enough about Talon's twisted believes, I need to make sure the house is secure." she then started making her way to each window and made sure that none of them would open too easily. She also tested the lock on the door to make sure it didn't break easily.

Oliver followed after Jenna, making sure she didn't collapse or anything from her bad leg. He wasn't sure if an ordinary house would be enough to fend off a Talon agent, since his old house didn't do a great job of that.

 

"Think we're safe enough?"

"At least we'll know if someone comes in." Jenna simply responded, they wouldn't be perfectly safe as long as they were on this planet, but this was best they had for now. "We are lucky neither of our problems want to make too much noise, otherwise they would probably just send missile to blow us up or something." she hopped to the bathroom and sat down to check her leg.

Oliver nodded slowly. "At least that's something. Though, we'd at least see a missile coming. I'd prefer that over someone sneaking around in here."

He followed her to the bathroom, and waited outside to give her privacy.

Jenna didn't comment anything, she didn't want to have a conversation about missile hitting them. It took only few minutes for her to check her leg, after which she came back out "My leg feels intact enough, I'll take this off tomorrow." she touched the diy-support on her leg when she said 'this' "It will still hurt quite a lot but at that point  there's no risk of it healing wrong."

Oliver nodded, looking down at the makeshift splint along with Jenna. "Are you sure you wanna take it off so soon? Your leg might still be bad."

He thought for a moment. "Though, I guess dragons heal faster than humans, huh?"

"Like I said, it will hurt, but I move lot faster with a hurting leg than with a leg that can't move." Jenna responded "And we indeed heal faster if you remember the wound I had, for me even the scar is gone now, but if I were a human, I would probably still need a bandage over it."

Oliver nodded, looking down at Jenna's bad leg. "I just don't want something to happen that makes your leg feel worse, or even come off." He added with a smile, clearly joking, but he deep down worried about it happening.

Jenna let out amused exhale "I know but leave the worrying about my injures to me, this isn't my first injury so I know how my healing works." "And really, if something were to happen that would cause it go worse, it wouldn't matter if it had sticks attached to it or not."

"Well, I'm still gonna worry if you get hurt again," Oliver said, some amusement in his voice. "I care about you after all, so of course I'll want to help you if your leg gets hurt again, or something else."

"I know and that's fine." Jenna said with humorous but assuring tone "Just remember that when it comes to me being injured, I know what I'm doing until stated otherwise." "And honestly, considering everything, a broken bone is quite lucky compared what it could be."

"I can imagine it is," Oliver agreed, "but still, I'd like to help you avoid getting hurt anymor if I can help it."

He looked at her splint, frowning. "I really don't like seeing you in pain, after all."

Jenna just smiled, she couldn't come up with anything to say, Oliver's worry warmed her heart. She seemed to remember something after a moment had passed "Speaking of pain, how well can you handle sleeping on the floor? Since we don't really have beds or anything in this empty house." "I'm just asking because we still have time to do something about that if we need to."

Oliver shrugged, looking at the bare other room and pondering the question. "I've definitely slept on worse before. Though, maybe if we can at least find some blankets or something around here to sleep on?"

"I really doubt the house has anything, if we need something we need to get it from outside." Jenna pointed out "But we have extra clothes with us, they can be used as blankets and pillows and such." "I can always sneak out to get something but that is a risk." "So if you can manage one night with what we have I'd rather go with that, but if you feel you really need something better I can get it." she spoke kindly but also matter-of-factly.

"No, it's okay," Oliver said, starting to feel bad about bringing it up. "Don't go sneaking outside after dark. We shouldn't risk it for any reason."

He looked down at the floor. "It's just for one night, anyway."

"Actually it would lot safer to go after dark." Jenna pointed out slightly humorously, but still clearly meaning what she said "It's still relatively bright outside and that's the reason why it would be such a risk, not because of Talon, but because of the neighbors." she then started scanning the space with her eyes thoughtfully.

"Oh yeah," Oliver said, nodding. "People will get suspicious seeing someone coming in and out of an empty house during the day."

He looked out the window. "But I suppose we'd be harder to see at night, even with the lights outside.

"Yep, in dark you can avoid the lights if you know what you're doing." Jenna responded, her voice indicating she was thinking about something unrelated as she said it, she then suddenly hopped to one of the corners of the house and looked at all the windows she could see from there, she then did same in few other spots too, clearly deep in thought.

Oliver nodded, noting the tone in Jenna's voice but not mentioning anything.

He frowned as he saw her move to the windows, and followed her around. "Is everything alright? Do you sense something coming?"

"Yeah, everything is fine." Jenna assured "I'm just trying to figure out what would be the safest place in here." she was quiet for second "And I think it's the bathroom and kitchen, kitchen has a window, but everywhere else there's more than one window with direct line of sight on the floor." "That and the kitchen window is also the best escape route if a threat comes from the  doors."

Oliver nodded, looking out the kitchen window. "Yeah, that makes sense. It'd be easy to get out this window, too."

He looked toward the stairs, frowning quizzically. "But what's good about the bathroom?"

"It has no windows." Jenna simply said "Sure there's no escape either, but it's the best hiding place in empty house, and the most obvious." when thinking about places where you can't be seen from the windows, a room without one is the best place.

Oliver nodded, starting to see what Jenna meant. "I get it. We won't escape from there, but we also won't be seen."

He bit his lip, considering the possibilities. "I guess that would be more of a last resort then."

"In certain situations yes." Jenna agreed "Now..." she turned towards Oliver "...do you know how to use that knife I gave to you?" "We have some time here so I can teach you few things if there's a need."
