Somnus prepared to use his spear when be realized that he left his spear and armor at the castle. He gave put Fluffball on Ruby's head.

"Hold this real quick."

Despite knowing that this was a stupid idea, he flew at the thing in an attempt to hurt it, only to be swatted away.

He tried again and got swatted away.

"This is a pretty unlikely situation to be in."

"Bugbear?" Ruby questioned out loud, not knowing what it was, but when she saw it, she made a sound of realization "Oh, drietnekil, I can see why it would be called bugbear.". When Somnus went to attack the bugbear, Ruby would have facehooved if that was something dragons did, sure she respected bravery, but there was difference between bravery and not thinking. "Don't you ponies ever use your head?" she then calmly walked towards the bugbear, she knew it would sense her being a dragon, so after what she was gonna do, the bugbear either would flee in fear of getting torched, or it would actually get torched by Ruby.  "Hey bear-thing!" she shouted at the creature, before roaring loud and very non-ponylike roar, it was a dragon's roar, a warning roar. Calti didn't even flinch while this was happening.

He looked over at one of those bottle games and headed over to it.

"This one looks pretty easy."

Arrow took a ball and threw. It missed the bottles, bounce off the stand, then off the ceiling onto his head, knocking him over. He then got up, seemingly fine.

"Do you seriously want your cover to be blown? The only one not using their head is you."

Ruby pointed out "Besides, though I don't need to do any of your jobs, Celestia demanded that I do something if I see an attack and there was no guard to deal with it." "And I don't see any guards, and it's a fact that you can do absolutely nothing with those hooves of yours."

The bugbear took the roar at a challange and tried to bite the dragon.

"Ok, feel free to torch it I guess."

Ruby simply dodged a bit to avoid the bugbear, "Well, I warned you." "Calti, go to my bag." and surprisingly the cat took Fluffball and climbed inside Ruby's saddlebag. Ruby dropped the saddlebag and transformed to her real form "Valignat drietnekil!" [burn bugbear] she then sent a jet of flame at the bugbear, purposely causing big cloud of smoke too, and in the cover of the smoke transformed back to pony and picked up her stuff.

Ruby agreed with her usual cold tone as she walked to Somnus, Calti climbed back on her head. She looked around at the cheering ponies and muttered to Somnus "You ponies are easy to impress, one would think monster getting chased away loses its impressiveness quickly considering how often you get attacked by them."

Rose nodded and followed Arrow towards a stand of bottle games and looked at Arrow prepare himself to throw a ball. Once he did and it hit him, Rose laughed and took a ball herself. "Here, let me show you how to do this~" she said as she stood up on her back legs, steadied herself, then aimed her left hoof at the gap between two bottles. She locked her target with her eye and threw the ball. Her technique worked, as all bottles fell one after another!

"I've never been good with throwing round objects. I'm typically more accurate with bows and spears."

He seemed to be less dizzy now.

"What else should we do?"

"I just realized that when you said that you didn't know what adorable means, you meant it literally. Adorable means cute basically. Is there a word for cute in your language?"

Ruby confirmed as she opened the can of fish "But it's more of an insult in our speak, but I am aware of its positive meaning in this language." she ate one of the fish herself and then balanced the can on her head so Calti could eat "Why do you have two words for it though?" Rose indeed saw this huge cloud of smoke. "Seems like so."

Though this made her think their relation through. Maybe she was too hard on her and needed to forget about the respect thing about her after all.
