Ruby sighed "So you say." "But I'm getting tired of talking, you ponies..." she looked at Somnus "....including you with the 'helping', just talk and talk, say that you're gonna do something, but nothing ever happens."

That bothered Somnus. He already felt bad that nothing was working. The last thing he needed was to be reminded of that. He started to question whether or not Ruby actually did care about him. Sure, she did state that something in her wanted the best for him, but he started to have doubts that anyone could notice. Despite this, Somnus still cared about Ruby.

Ruby turned her back towards Fluttershy, ready to start walking "I take that we're done here, since you're not any help." like she had stated before, part of her did have liking towards Somnus, but her mind wasn't fully in agreement in that yet, she would need to get some of that positive part before any final decision.

"You know I'm not as big for sweets as you ponies are." Ruby said, but the she suddenly stopped and looked at Somnus, she spoke a bit quieter than usual "Did you mean it back there?" "Do you really think I don't deserve what I have because I don't act kind?" she was referencing their argument, that was what it looked like to her when Somnus shouted about respect and not owing anything.

This was true. Somnus really cares about Ruby and believes she deserves a lot. He didn't know if Ruby would believe him after that argument though.

Somnus felt horrible for saying what he said to her earlier. When Ruby said to tell her what he really thinks, he did just that.

"If you want to know I think... well... I love you."

He pulled something out of his saddlebag. It was some sort of golden necklace.

"If you want proof, this is the best I got. I got this for you earlier."

He gave her the necklace.

Ruby looked puzzled, it wasn't clear if it was because it was hard to believe there was no catch, or because of the experience of someone actually being kind to her "And you don't want anything back?" "It's...hard to believe, I.." though she didn't feel thankful, she wanted to be fair, so she knew she needed to thank him somehow, and she got an idea, it was something that she didn't really see in any worth, but knew it to be something very big for ponies, especially if those ponies liked each other, and it was one of those things she had practiced as tool of manipulation. Somnus' eyes widened. He wasn't expecting that. He simply kissed back. After that, he said something.

"...I guess your mind is almost made up then?"

It was good that he had more time. It would be a lot less difficult handle this since Ruby is less likely to try and leave.

"I know that too." Ruby just commented, it should had been clear at this point that she didn't really care what was socially looked down upon by ponies.

Somnus walked into the bakery. Behind the counter was a female Equestrian dragon. She seemed to have similarities to the hybrid from the previous day. It was probably the hybrid's mother.

"Hi, welcome to Laganum Bakery, I'm assuming that you want the luster dust cake?"

She looked at Ruby when she said this. It was clear that she knew Ruby was a dragon.
