Fluttershy: Pocahontas from, well, Pocahontas. She could also be Cinderella based on her personality.

Well, I think I could compare Twilight to Sebastian. Relation to royalty not by blood, and knows everything about what's going on, but people don't bother to listen.

 

If I were to compare the mane 6 to lead roles, I would say...

Twilight -> Belle, for teh smartses and teh book learnin'

Rainbow Dash -> Mulan, for breaking out of gender roles

Apple Jack -> Tiana, hard working

Fluttershy -> Snow White, good with animals

Rarity -> Georgette (Oliver and Company) for obvious reasons

Pinkie Pie -> Had a hard time with this one... maybe Rapunzel? Cuz she wants to go to the big shindig in town?

Wow! No one has replied to this in a while! I'll fix that!

 

For now, I would like to point out connections I have made the last few times I've gone to Disneyland!

In most of the themed lands, I thought how most of the Mane six could be found there, like so:

• Applejack working at Big Thunder Ranch in Frontierland
• Rainbow Dash following Daring-Do who's assisting Indiana Jones in Adventureland
• Rarity working in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland
• Fluttershy working with the animals of Splash Mountain in Critter Country
• Pinkie Pie appearing all over Mickey's Toontown
• Twilight Sparkle would throughout all the lands, keeping things organized.

There's a lot more I want to say, but I need to be going. I'll post more soon.

Okay, so I got permission from a Youtube uploader named RoseRed12393 to show you this casting video of how she would cast the Disney Characters as the Ponies of FiM.

 

Just a warning: Although, the Mane Six are played by Disney Princesses, several of the secondary characters are played by Disney Characters whose movies weren't popular, so unless you're a huge Disney fan like me, you may not recognize some of them.

I had to agree with most of them.

 

 

• Belle as Twilight Sparkle: Both love their books and from my experience, Belle was the very first Disney Princess I've ever seen and felt like, just like how Twilight was the first Pony I've seen and felt like.
• Tiana as Applejack: Both are hard-workers and got that southern hospitality and spunk.
• Mulan as Rainbow Dash: Though Fluttershy could easily play the role too, especially if she was singing Mulan's Reflection song, Rainbow Dash definitely brings this action girl to mind.
• Aurora as Rarity: You know how Aurora's Godmothers kept fighting over whether the color of her dress should be pink or blue? Well, I happen to agree with the fans that pick the color between the two: Purple. Need I say more?
• Charlotte as Pinkie Pie: While not a Offical Disney Princess in marketing, Tiana's best friend, Charlotte, whose the spoiled sweet daughter of a wealthy man. The main connection? Charlotte is absolutely hilarious in every scene she's in; always bouncing with joy and helping Tiana get cleaned up when the latter got into a mess!
• Snow White as Fluttershy: The reasons are obvious, but other than their shared kindness, yellow colors, and the fact they work with animals, there's now one more similarity between them since the release of the Season 4 episode, 
  Bats! The fact that apples should now be forbidden! LOL!

• The Blue Fairy as Princess Celestia: The Blue Fairy is a very important Disney Character as she's not just a fairy, she's literally the wishing star in Pinocchio! And as anyone who knows me knows, I see the song "When You Wish Upon a Star" as a message to never believe that all hope is gone! 
• Maleficent as Nightmare Moon: Nightmare Moon said two lines that were clearly a shout-out to the Disney Mistress of all Evil!
• Prince Eric as Shining Armor, Ariel as Princess Cadence, and Ursula as Queen Crysalis: Anyone's who's seen the Season 2 Finale pretty much knows they'd based the plot on the third act of the Little Mermaid.

 

I even saw RoseRed's playlist titled, "Disney x MLP:Fim crossovers" where they do Disney characters singing the songs of MLP:FiM. Some of them are really good IMHO!

Celestia and Luna- Elsa and Anna, because they learned sisterly love and they are royalty, after all. I just don't know who would be Elsa and who would be Anna!

The Twilight native to the human world does remind me a bit of Candace Flynn from Phineas and Ferb as Candace wants to show her mom the impossible things her brothers do. One of her strongest usually-shown traits is a teenage girl with an unhealthy urge to bust her brothers. Despite that, Candace still cares for her brothers. I wonder if this Twilight is capable of learning to have that same care for those involved in Canterlot High's strange going-ons as Candace's care for her brothers.

Candace Flynn's other strongest usually-shown traits is a teenage girl who worries constantly about her relationship with her boyfriend, Jeremy Johnson. Pony!Twilight, in a sense, has that same neurosis when it comes to her relationship of being Princess Celestia's student.

For instance, Twilight's worst fear is not being Celestia's student anymore; Candace had a stress vision of Jeremy uncharacteristically hating her if she doesn't let his grandmother win the roller derby.
