Anyone shocked as I was during Infinity War?

Of all the superhero movies I watched in my life, I'd say Infinity War was the first time I was blown away/overwhelmed.

Normally I usually have fun with all the others, Marvel and DC, but it was the first time I was left speechless.

Especially the snap.

Was anyone else as dumbfounded as I was as people left and right disintegrated?

I really remember thinking "Why are they disintegrating? Are they dying? Why are they dying? I don't understand what's happening!"

On one hand I did understand. But on the other, this is one of those moments where your mind just stops because what you're seeing right now is too indescribable and shocking. And Spider-man? I'd say pleading for life made me start feeling like shedding tears for a bit, for the first time.

I wasn't. Mostly because of spoilers. But again, if it weren't for spoilers I probably wouldn't even watch the movie.

I definitely was, but not necessarily because of the actual snap. That moment was spoiled long before I had the chance to watch the movie myself, so I knew it would come eventually (though it was still a bit surprising to actually watch it all happen).

 

What got me was the fact that that was how the movie ended. Like what!? I was expecting something more like, a thing where the heroes come back to defeat Thanos and reverse the snap, then the movie would end, with the heroes victorious and all, but it just ... ended, right there. No happy ending, not even a bittersweet one. Oof.
