Do you like The Student Six? Why?

That's what I was expecting when they were introduced. Come to think of it, the CMC's seem to lost their place in the show since the Student Six came.

Quite indifferent actually. They fall into the same radar as the CMC (which I absolutely do not care for) except 1% better than CMC.

Don't get me wrong, I like Starlight, but she kind of was just forced into the show after her redemption. So yeah, I wouldn't mind if she was removed.

I kinda feel a similar way, but different. What do you think would be a better way to introduce those new characters?

(① I think they should have included a 'Starlight visiting the old village and apologizing for the first time' episode. ② I think Twilight should have sent her away at season 7. For the Student Six, they should have had their own episodes or a Student Six exclusive episode from the beginning, so we get a solid story with a character that is integral to that. Season 8 premiere was a Twilight episode. They should have approached to the students like Terramar. I think Terramar is a more interesting and compelling character than any other Student Six so far.)

Weirdly, I'm in the opposite camp. I kinda care far more about the new characters than the original ones at this point. At least in Slice of Life episodes.

I just feel like I've seen the mane 6 at this point, and I like them more and more in a supporting capacity. The show just isn't interested in doing a long form arc based story, It never has been. I'm kinda weird in that I've liked basically every new character the show has introduced. Even characters I can't really defend properly I find really charming. Like Cadance.

Well i like them ...all but Sandbar. he just so...bleh bland as toast. At least the rest at least have something.  My favorite is Gallus and Silverstream.

Agreed, it seemed they ran into a wall with CMC after they got htier cutie marks an thus needed new things. But i still like the mane six better then the students.

Yes, I like them. Their personalities are enjoyable and that's all that matters.
