FLARE 952 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 (edited) It's plausible seeing as the spin off show, "the Cleavland show" did a very subtle reference before. The letters TSRDFSPPRAJ stand for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack. http://ponyvillegaze...my-little-pony/ Edited May 30, 2012 by Flare^03
GrooveBroove 680 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 I'm sure soon enough they'll get around to something that sticks out a little more.
Lostwanderer 367 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 I think eventually they'll be more shows that reference MLP, than MLP makes to other tv shows or movies.
Nas 2,873 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 The more popular it becomes, the more awesome references they reaches other shows like this, thus might help MLP become more popular. I'm okay with this. 1 My journey in the fandom started on April 5, 2012. I joined here on April 24, 2012. Where that journey is headed now, who knows... Clover Heart 978 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 Purely coincidental. Family Guy predates MLP:FiM by many years. That, and Family Guy is almost never that subtle with its references. It's very in-your-face and obvious about it. So, even if your ideas held some weight, I still doubt that they'd be references to MLP. Nevertheless, I shall offer my two cents, anyway. 1. The whole idea of a TV show for kids being popular with aduts >>>This concept isn't new. How many adults do you know who still like Transformers? In fact, half the show is references to cartoons that the target audience (20-30-year-old males) watched when they were kids. 2. Said TV show mentions Unicorns >>>The show mentions a lot of crazy crap just for the sake of having crazy crap in the show. Unicorns aren't specific to MLP, and someone mentioning them doesn't mean it's a reference to the show. 3. said TV show shows how to make stuff out of an OATMEAL packet >>>...And? People. Eat. Oatmeal. I eat oatmeal. I ate oatmeal long before I started watching MLP in any of its incarnations. This came to mind. 4. peter said twilight >>>You are aware of the books, right? Or if not, the movies? That kind of thing is great fodder for a show like Family Guy. 5. show also mentions "best day ever" (I know its night, but oh well) >>>Vids or it didn't happen. Anyway, MLP isn't the coiner of the phrase "best day ever." If they said something extremely specific, verbatim, then maybe I could give it to you. But this? No. It's plausible seeing as the spin off show, "the Cleavland show" did a very subtle reference before. The letters TSRDFSPPRAJ stand for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack. http://ponyvillegaze...my-little-pony/ Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. 1 You're the most basic of jokes. JhonHipster 124 May 30, 2012 Share May 30, 2012 I don't watch family guy I'm not suprised they made the refferance, although it seems a little to small to be an actual refferance. Then again like southpark there always making refferances to what ever is new in the media. lets hope this works
EWAN 31 June 1, 2012 Share June 1, 2012 I think that if they made a mlp reference it would be less subtle. Think about it, Family guy is known to be more in-your-face with its references. . . soooooo I want to see a bit more proof. 1 If you can read this then you have pony swag. Friend me,i'll bring muffins!
Crystal Sparkle 344 June 1, 2012 Share June 1, 2012 If they did, they would have their version of it in a 30-second sketch doing something stupid. ~I love the way Storm Spark makes love to me! Marcusaralius76 150 June 1, 2012 Share June 1, 2012 Family guy is NOT a subtle show... If they want to reference a video of a guy shoving a jackhammer up his butt, they will show you EXACTLY what they are referencing!
Comet Tail 808 June 1, 2012 Share June 1, 2012 It's plausible seeing as the spin off show, "the Cleavland show" did a very subtle reference before. The letters TSRDFSPPRAJ stand for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack. http://ponyvillegaze...my-little-pony/ What are the chances a random string of letters will end up like this? It's almost plausible if they were in any random order. But they're not. The first listed is the main viewpoint character, and the others seem almost to be in an order of popularity. It's the ordering that sells me on this. Specifically that Twilight Sparkle is first. And not to mention there are twelve letters, perfect for representing 6 characters with two initials. So, what are the chances this is coincidence? How many coincidences would there have to be? - All the letters are there, and not scrambled. - There are twelve letters, for initialing six characters. - TS is first, the first character you see in the series And also, why would they include a random string of letters? I say, I'm sold on it after thinking about it like that. And now, though, what is the 002 at the end? The Media Brony 50 June 2, 2012 Share June 2, 2012 It seems like its a little to big of a stretch to call it a reference. I'm still waiting for that South Park episode. lol

Abstract 832 June 2, 2012 Share June 2, 2012 Can't stand FG, but like the others said, their trademark is the opposite of subtlety. They do try to get sneaky every once in a while, but this time its not specific enough. "Let the steel of my resolve be not bested by the sum of my fears." The letters TSRDFSPPRAJ stand for Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack. http://ponyvillegaze...my-little-pony/ If I remember correctly, the day before this episode premiered EqD posted a leak in which someone said that a subtle pony reference would be appearing in the Cleveland Show. It's legit. #SOCKS
Scritches 92 June 2, 2012 Share June 2, 2012 I can just imagine an episode about Chris becoming a brony. What's even more ironic about that is that Seth Green is supposedly a brony.
