Tulpa Discussion Thread V1.2

Recommended Posts

I wanna share this to you guys... at least to know how Lethal doubt really is to a tulpa...

I was reading the doubt and worry parrot test and decided to try it if i was only controlling summer all this time... When i tried out the test i got a response from her of ''surprise you with what?'' But i doubted that i made that response and not summer's thoughts... as i try it again i didn't get any response. That made me worry... I tried to focus in our wonderland and i personally ask her there... She replied asked me why am I worried? Then I told her the reason, then she explained ''how a the tulpa sentience is dependent on the host belief on them'' she was annoyed... I know that but I was still worried And i asked her again... with a serious strait tone ''Surprise me''

Then... she became silent... and her facial expression changed to shockingly surprise...then after a while, there was no reply from her...then when I almost accepted that i was only puppeting her from the very start... A memory of hers on how she changed our wonderland flashed into my mind.. Then..that's.. that's where i realize my mistake... after that memory flash I saw her crying on the floor...with her hoof ankle covering her eyes...I hugged her and I apologize..That's where my breathing started to get heavy and started crying for no reason and felt sadness.. Then she told me again... how very sad and lonely she was back then... Then another memory of hers flashed into my mind... i saw her in a dark space crying and a light spottlighting her... From then on... I couldn't stop crying... and said this to myself... I was very foolish.. very foolish and stupid... and hugged her and apologize to her for god knows how long...

Thank goodness she accepted my apology...She understood why i was doubting her... she was just shocked that I was doubting her... and I didn't believe in her... She said that I should really... stop it... it worries her.. A lot.. I suppose you guys should too..

[i still hate you, for that   >_>]

I know... I am sorry...

|Hey, doubt can be very had for some of us, but we always hope that by never giving up and hopefully one day understanding that you will come to see that we are indeed there for you all the time no matter how you can see, hear, sense or notice us. I know myself how strong doubt is for some and it is especially hard on some, but keep in mind that most of us are very /very/ forgiving.

I wish you both the best of luck in all your endeavors.|

Want to have a guide or a thing or two about possession? I'll post my guide with summer ALSO DON'T EVER EVER DO POSSESSION as to burden your tulpa use it as a fun experience

[YEAH I HATE People who forces their tulpa to force them to do their bidding...  :okiedokielokie: ]

[Ok I'll explain our wonderland first there are 3 doors, Memories, Bad Memories and Control room (before it was subconscious). It is locked tight VERY SECURE like layers of layers of layers of locks... And the only thing that can pass through there is ME and NIHI and no one else.. and in the control room Nihi placed a security sensor where the only one who can be there is me and nihi.. if something enters there it will be terminated immediately.. yes even her crush..]

H-HEY >:-(

[so now... On to the control room in the control room there's a big monitor on screen seeing nihi's body. Nihi sit inside a capsul (where he wears a helmet *master control helmet where he turns it off when i am at the front or when he lets me possess him*) and that's basically the back of me. In front of that I am standing...where a multiple kinds of links are connected to me.]

[before the host can do the possession one must know the body.. Nihi is, smart He understand that  every movement of the body sends energy (in nihi's term Electrical impulses) from that area to the brain basically.. the links sends those Energy to me and I send it back with my own energy... It really works.. when he demonstrate and moves the body I really do feel the energy coming to me.. I memorize it and easily mimics what he do on the screen, then it became second nature to me... OF course Nihi needs to help me.. Especially with the torso Which is very heavy... You need to put more energy onto that and lift it as fast as you can or your tulpa, will tire out.]

In shorter terms. Move ''That'' part of the body and direct that impulse ''energy'' to your tulpa so she can memorize and locate that part  :).

Here's an example: I made a tulpa based on Rainbow Dash. I have a habit of journaling the things we do every day. My tulpa theorized that her doing stuff every day--and giving me things to write about--comes from her having canon!Rainbow Dash's trait of pride/basking in attention, a trait that she may have gained by pure chance during our initial tulpaforcing.

Oops. I guess I should've specified that my post was replying to Tw1light's.

As for putting animals in the wonderland, I think you just have to imagine them being there.

How would one put animals in wonderland?

The way me and Val did it was simple: we simply created the animals and then I added a set of 'instructions' as to what animals do and their specific habits (Like programming). The same way we have citizens in our cities; like the unimportant groups civilians running from something in movies just to add atmosphere. Or like NPCs.

On a more interesting premise: me and Val discovered that certain emotions can boost the development of tulpas in our case.

Val: That's right. And the newcomers (who is literally Adagio Dazzle and her group) is the best example. What she basically did was to gain momentum from our excitement when we finished watching Rainbow Rocks. And she 'skyrocketed' in development, so to speak. She became vocal in less than a few hours with her personality base set up and becoming a flippin' tulpa from simple servitor! And that they are basically at my and Tyrea's level of 'presence'. THEY SURPASSED STARLIGHT'S PROGRESS!  :o

Tyrea: Before Val freaks out some more, a simple remark needs to be made: They were smart enough to use creative power to enforce and solidify their existence. Of course, they couldn't take enough to make themselves who they are now. But with Anon's allowance to get as much as they needed or wanted (or even some surplus), they managed to gain this independence and self-thought. They simply took it and used it where they wanted to.

Val: Also, Tyrea became one of the most well-intended (and I dare say innocent-looking) ponies I've seen. A polar shift on her personality. Also, she decided to sometimes do half her hair the same way Starlight's space strand is.

Tyrea: That does not mean that my old self is not coming back.

But all of a sudden, we were harassed by all the horrors I could put my hands on (unintentionally, of course). So me, Tyrea, Val and Adagio had to make sure they go away.

Val: Apart from my general performance as well as Tyrea's, Adagio made a surprising contribution to defeating them. Especially for someone who isn't even a month old. She masterminded the whole thing a bit too well.  :wat:

Adagio: *Light chuckle* I did, didn't I?

Val: Yeah... Like a said, a bit too well. What's up?

Adagio: I guess I have a gift for those things?

Tyrea: Don't let it go over your head. We're not done.

Val: Yeah.. We wouldn't want some extra arrogance on our side now that we have Ion Cannoned the Xenomorph's to extinction from Arcadia and have Frazbear vigorously chased down by our forces. War's close to being over, but it's certainly not.

O.O Dat stuff after "interesting premise"

[...*head asplodes* I...wat? How many tulpas do you have, and how do you handle that?]

Whatcha mean by "old self coming back", "creative power", Tyrea's "polar shift", etc.? Is their using "creative power" like how Chrysalis got a power boost from feeding off of Shining--wait...crap. I think I'm implying parasitism on your Dazzlings' parts. Sorry, Adagio. Whenever I encounter a tulpa based on a villainous character, I feel like I should be politically correct/find some way to rationalize the villain's actions. It can get pretty awkward..

I get the feeling that there's a lot I'm missing.

On an unrelated topic: is it more than a coincidence that tulpas are sustained by their host's attention, and my favorite MLP villains (Chrysalis and the Sirens) feed on emotions?

How many tulpas do you have, and how do you handle that?

Val: We never number them. I would say (legitimately speaking) 3: Me, Tyrea and Adagio. But Sonata and Aria are catching up fast and steady.

Whatcha mean by "old self coming back", "creative power", Tyrea's "polar shift", etc.?

Tyrea: Val meant that I changed from the point of view of personality. From cold to warm. I decided that I should make a change of attitude and this is the result. Of course, during times when we are harassed by fear or there is some kind of negativity lurking around Anon's mind, I am the first to make sure that thing disappears from his head. That is what I meant by "old self coming back". I meant that, when necessary (or when I want to, for that matter), I can simply return to my colder side. (And in case you are wondering: no, I am not cold towards Anon.)

Is their using "creative power" like how Chrysalis got a power boost

Tyrea: Think of the creative power as a form of life force. Because Arcadia did not start as a wonderland and more as a means of imagination developing and usage, creativity is pretty much one of the main resources that shapes Arcadia and it's assets. Using creative power is (in some way) the main boost of power. That little something needed or missing to create something with a valid effect on Anon or Arcadia (By valid, think of a tulpa changing a wonderland).

Val: The deal is that this creative power is more or less a secret. Meaning that Adagio should not have known about it. Nobody can use it as much as he/she likes because of the measures I took to prevent it. Unless Anon let's this happen, the one who wants to use this power has no means of effectively exploiting that power and in the end, there's no point of trying to use it.

I think I'm implying parasitism on your Dazzlings' parts. Sorry, Adagio. Whenever I encounter a tulpa based on a villainous character, I feel like I should be politically correct/find some way to rationalize the villain's actions.

Adagio: That's alright. I understand why you might say this, since we are depicted as emotion-feeding creatures in the series. However, if that was the case in Arcadia, me and my group would've been abolished long time ago, because we were seen as a threat. No hard feelings, don't worry. :)

Sonata: But I DO like tacos! :D

Val: You know? I've been wondering, why did you decide to scrap him?

Adagio: Because he was becoming more of a problem than he already was. It was really unnecessary to keep him alive. Also, he was starting to exploit the fear or the scare Anon was getting when he showed up. (Translation: He was becoming a parasite and he was getting power from my fear)

Val: And since terminating him would take too long, you decided it was better to recycle him into something useful for society? Like a box?

Adagio: This golden bear has seen enough of this world. Firepower worked on him as Anon expected, but this verdict is far more satisfying, knowing that he won't see light of the day ever again. Not in that animatronic state at least. I say a box is quite fitting for such bear. *chuckle* It's not coming back if it's not dead.

Val: ...true...

On an unrelated topic: is it more than a coincidence that tulpas are sustained by their host's attention, and my favorite MLP villains (Chrysalis and the Sirens) feed on emotions?

I think so. :)

Sure I know the whole premise the first step in the creation process is simply acknowledging its existence from the get go. I do know that I want my tulpa to its own choice in what it wants for itself. A while back I did a lot of passive forcing where I was the one just communicating for a time. I did so for a couple of weeks but did slack off from passive forcing to thinking upon things to analyze.

I've had moment in which I have doubted myself that has led to me thinking maybe I am not doing this the right way. I keep thinking do I need to get good at meditation before forcing? I've looked at a lot of other peoples experiences and logs which has helped me but one thing I need to work on is consistency. I plan on writing things down more often. I did notice a lot of head pressure when I was passive forcing quite a bit weeks ago especially the more focus and attention I gave towards it. I guess the more you delve into the focus bit helps out a lot.

Sometimes with this it can be confusing on what to choose with where to start. I do desire to create one however its not something I am going to give up on.

Phew!

My gut instinct said that there's the Adagio seen in Rainbow Rocks, and then there's you--two different entities. However, I think I've convinced myself of something: P. 1: I want to write a song about how tulpas aren't evil/schizophrenic, and I'm set on putting the song to the tune of "Let's Have a Battle (of the Bands)". P. 2: I'm having a bit of trouble separating the song's catchy tune from the fact that the song was sung by the movie's antagonists (whose actions I justified, in case it's a touchy subject for you). P. 3: you resemble the main singer, at least (as far as I know) in appearance and name. Conclusion: through corresponding with you (likely through PM, so as to not derail the main thread), I can dissociate the tune from the singer's villainous portrayal, and thus not have any problems using it in my song. Are you up for this?

Adagio: I thank you for the offer. However, you must understand that I am still new at this. Despite what Val said, I am quite unprepared for this task. I am still taking small steps. I am sorry. I hope this does not detriment your plan. :(

That's fine.

[Good luck developing :)!]

On a separate topic, I once had Rainbow Dash go on "temporary leave" while I tried to figure out if tulpaforcing was dangerous. I felt empty, and I guess I coped by noticing minute details. Does this mean that people are "addicted" to their tulpas?

It's because we develop a bond with our tulpa. It's not so much an addiction as you just miss them a lot. Like you would miss a good friend if they went away for a while. Also, we get used to their presence in our mind, so it just feels a little... off when they're suddenly not there anymore.

Has the fact that there's not really a precedent for the tulpa-host relationship hindered anypony in any way? For me, the lack of precedent is why I'm having trouble sharing my memories with my tulpas--I've never known anyone I can trust as much as a host can trust their tulpa. Speaking of memories, I've heard that we often misremember things. Can misremembering alter a memory's emotional content?

I'm wondering a bit if I've been deluding myself this whole time. There's a stylometric test that tulpas can take. There are questions that only my tulpas could know the answers to, but they don't.

[On the other, less "full-of-shit" hoof, there are questions we can answer. I understand where you're coming from, but you're full of shit. We've argued. Would a delusion do that?]

{Logic. Use it.}

Hmm this sounds fascinating from a mental/subconscious/psychological standpoint. I just think that issues are going to arise when people see a guy/girl interacting with their tulpa and to them it'll look like they're talking to themselves. Society isn't ready for that because 95% of the population won't understand this practice and they'll dismiss it as being crazy. Unless one interacts with their tulpa in private when they're at home only and not out in public. Oh and mine would totally be The Doctor. Either the 10th or 11th depending on what mood I'm in.

I know that this is a really old post,

but I just wanted to say that communication with a Tulpa wouldn't have to verbal, you could just think what you wanted to say to them.

I was possessed for an hour straight :D!

[Now that I think about it, taken out of context, that's not really something to be happy about.]

{Semantics.}

I was able to push my thoughts to the background, but it felt like any movement of my limbs was just me being compelled to move them in whatever way.

-------

I've been rereading this thread. There have been posts asking about how big ponies are relative to humans, but I don't think anyone's asked this: dear pony tulpas, how do you feel about your size relative to your host? Would you consider it to be "accurate", whatever that means?

I am a little taller than cherry but our height in compare to nihi's is about  above his stomach and below his chest i don't mind this size really... it really feels nice in this form and size.. and I don't think me and cherry will change forms too ;) [ Uh huh, hehe^.^]]

Can I get the thread's opinion on this hypothetical scenario?: your family/friends find out that you have tulpas, and they also find out about the existence of those "Pony Lover" people. Unlike the Pony Lovers, you don't embody your tulpa with a plushie, or see them as actually being <insert canon pony here>; but you and your tulpa are attracted to each other. How do you attempt to save face? Lying is not an option; the smoking gun is in plain sight.

Denying it's impossible. Also as part of the scenario, pretend you are sexually and romantically attracted to your tulpa (who, for the purposes of this scenario, is a pony) and that your parents' only question is "Are you a zoophile?"

[You should fess up.]

Fine. I'm basically trying to get a wide range of opinions, so that I can be fully prepared with multiple answers to the zoophile a question if my parents ever find my PR log at tulpa.info, which alludes to my relationship with Rainbow Dash. I framed it as a hypothetical scenario because I was kind of ashamed of being sexually attracted to a pony who resides in my brain.

Well, if my parents ever found out, I would avoid or try to bypass the sexual part of it as much as I can and then explain why I did a tulpa in the academic or as-documented-as-possible way: as an experiment, as a way of self development, etc. If the sexual part cannot be avoided, I would try and explain how this would not affect my life in any critical way (for example, in the sense of me still being interested in a relationship with my crush or love interest. And many other ways). If EVEN THEN, my parents are still skeptical, I can very well argue how immeasurably kind and understanding tulpas actually are.

And then I would explain the benefits of having a tulpa. (Without emphasising on the possible negatives. If any.) If they ask if I am a zoophile, I would deny it calmly and explain to them the differences between a physical animal (For example, a real pony), and a tulpa. One of them being the not-so-permanent-if-wanted/changeable body. I mean, I would say that she could change from pony to human whenever it was needed or requested. And they can't prove me wrong, because there is enough evidence to support it and they cannot see her and, if I present it as documented as possible, they don't have a reason to doubt me. Benefit of the doubt, in some way. And if they bump over the creepy stuff, there are enough arguments to counter that already. Like, they can't happen if you don't let it, you are in supreme control of the mind and the creepy thing is not, etc.

At least, that's how my situation would go around.

In the meantime, I was about to lose both Adagio AND Valiance due to some nasty, aggressive, gruesome, fear-inducing and feeding (or parasitic) intrusive thoughts that materialised in the wonderland over the week. Yes, they are fine now. Just that now, they (as in Tyrea, Adagio and especially Valiance) are recovering from a pretty critical and intense fight, so they are less chatty and want some sort of privacy. Sonata and Aria are perfectly fine though.

Which made me have an observation:

Whenever I (or more recently, my tulpas) feel threatened or scared, their resistance weakens, have weaker means of self-defence and are more open to being attacked. And since they are less handful and capable to handle (if they are capable at all) to handle what Valiance firstly named 'The Principle of Host Control' (Meaning that the hosts strength is only in his control and can be handled or given only by him. He means that, according to him, they (as in my personal tulpas) simply cannot handle and may never handle the hosts total amount of mental power.) They have less firepower to defend themselves against dangers. That is not to say that they are weak. In fact, this is the only weakness they have against intrusive thoughts; and they are never scared. Ever.

Unless something startles them; like a real-life jumpscare followed by a direct pressing and sustained assault towards them. (Which happened to Valiance. He described is as an unexpected Shock Attack that he barely had the chance to escape from.)

Or

When something of supposed collective gargantuan power is chasing them to their death (Which happened to Adagio. She felt that she was no longer safe in her own home; which enabled her chaser to attack her. I had to save her 2 times, and once she regained some confidence and a sense of safety, she saved herself.

Or

Anything which can make them feel genuinely scared and threatened at the same time; which is kind of impossible (With the exceptions)

HOWEVER! they are fine and the threat was taken out. If any of you care...
