Really? Cool! And yes, I WAS going to go to their concert on May 4th. My dad decided to not go because my mom is supposed to give birth this month. (June)

Awwe, dude, I REALLY want to go to the tour, but I can't, which is unfortunate.

I grew up on these guys, still love em.

WOMEN. Just kidding, lol. Anyways, I do want to see them at some point with my mom and grandma. I still need to hear the new album though. It sounded like some classic stuff and sounded awesome.

Never really was a Beach Boys fan but I really like the compositions of Good Vibrations and California Girls.

My mom used to have all sorts of Beach Boys records though, possibly when she was at her hippie phase lol

What about Sunflower and Surf's up? Many of the songs Brian Wilson worked on during and after Pet Sounds reflected on his situation at the time, like his mental breakdown and such. Sad? Maybe. But those "sad" pieces are beautiful and brilliant to this day.

I personally love the Beach Boys. Especially their older stuff, like "Kokomo" "In My Room" "Be True to Your School". Those are amazing songs. What I like about BB is the complex harmonies they can pull off. It's rather amazing.

I'm just going to revive this poor, forgotten thread.

The Beach Boys are my second favorite band, after The Beatles. I'm a huge fan of most everything they released from 1962-1977. Favorite albums are Pet Sounds, Smiley Smile, Today, Sunflower, and Surf's Up.

Also, just gonna leave this here:

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

Also, just gonna leave this here:

Capitol Records actually released a single called "The Beach Boys Medley" in 1981 to capitalize on the medley dance craze that lasted for a couple of years in the early '80s. The single splices together segments from various Beach Boys songs while keeping a constant tempo for dancing. There doesn't seem to be a YouTube video of it, but the single uses "Good Vibrations", "Help Me, Rhonda", "I Get Around", "Shut Down", "Surfin' Safari", "Barbara Ann", "Surfin' USA", and "Fun, Fun, Fun".

The single peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1981, a significant hit and their first Top 20 single since "Rock And Roll Music" had peaked at #5 in 1976.
