Negative thoughts slowly flow in like a storm brewing... hard to focus when I have to keep being reminded about my stupid shortcomings. Based on previous experiences, I'm just not an optimistic person.

Tonight I REJOICE!

My Tribute to Lyra and Bon Bon is complete, and I can't wait to share it with everyone on July 5th, 2025. 

It will be appearing on YouTube, as the inaugural project of a new channel I am creating, when Gen 6 arrives, I plan to be there.

In the meantime, there is much I can do relating to Gen 4 and Gen 5 to get my hooves in the barn. 

But, I am glad that the channel's first video is going to be something wholly heartfelt and simply sincere.

The Joy of being happy for all true lovers everywhere, is the most enlightened kind of joy it's possible to feel.

Stay tuned, and I hope every pony will join me for the premiere on the 5th of July, so we can all share our wishes to Lyra and Bon Bon for another happy year together!

I'm so sorry, I know the feeling. Raised voices still make me feel frozen inside to this day from practically the same thing and it's over a decade since I last lived with mine. I don't imagine your 'mother' will be of any help with noise cancelling equipment, is your school principal halfway decent to consider a complaint about this? You don't have to mention negative experiences necessarily. They can mess around outside, there's no reason for them to trigger serious trauma over a laugh when they can do this somewhere where you're not stuck with them.

Even though it is not a real fight, it is still mimicking the sounds of drama and conflict -- and when you need a place for peace of mind -- it is not exactly the proper environment for such a thing. I am sorry you have to go through this. ;~;

Exactly, flashbacks are horrendous, and counterintuitive to learning to boot... You can't process information well in a state of panic and you shouldn't both have to deal with an abusive parent at home *and* flashbacks at school. That's just no breaks whatsoever :/ Normally I find children's mayhem delightful (loved when my class broke the monotony of public school!) but this is different when it causes serious distress. I do wonder if the school can get a bus monitor in on more days to prevent this occurence - they'll survive, there's other places for them to have fun.

 

I feel tired and tipsy, lol. Done a long trail we've not done before and it involved a lovely woodland not far from the train station we stopped at, considering this is within a large national park I am keen to explore it more over the summer as this was more of an initial exploration :]

Oh, she would never do something that nice for me. She'd just say something like "Well, life is loud! Now get out my face. *Cursing cursing cursing*" Or "Deal with it, it's not that hard. Would you rather walk to school cause I ain't taking ya! *Cursing cursing cursing* I'm not wasting my money on that. *Cursing cursing cursing and more cursing.*" The principal is very kind and understanding..I think I could tell him about it. I just hope he keeps me anonymous.

If it makes you feel any better, I've never had anyone scream at me like that since leaving. Abusive parents have severe psychological issues that prevent them from seeing their own children as people (and in some cases, other people they think they have power over too). Life normally isn't this scary, not when normal people are involved...

I don't imagine your principal will announce you as the person making the complaint unless you've noticed his doing that in the past, it'd be a stupid move on his part. I don't think you should have to deal with things making you deeply unhappy either if something can be done about it. Even if it's 'just' you bothered it's a very serious problem, you matter too...

Today yes, yesterday too.

I try to stay on the crest of the wave, as long it it's still running it's course, I try to stay along for the ride, for as long as I can, whenever I can.

The more time you spend on the highs, the quicker you'll just scramble back out of the lows, not get stuck there too long or remember them too much.

Perhaps it is the new normal, but still just because people who surrounds you thinks it’s normal. Doesn’t mean it should be the new normal to you. Only you know what’s right to yourself. And I know what it’s like to be around those people, if their words don’t kill you, the time will. Still, I’m sure you won’t run into them as common here, keywords are as common. Just know, there’s a good chance people here will be kind and understanding.

Final prep done for the conference tomorrow. Gotta wake up early in time to help set up. Also on day need to make sure my work email....will....works, so I can see if anyone asked to hire me to help with young adult groups, like mentoring or group work. Here's hoping everything works out!

Bored and questioning if I did something wrong. I’m headed home which is good news, but service is not on my side, I was just barely able to post this. Also you may have seen some of the RPs I’ve created. But for some reason, the two just don’t seem to pick up off the ground. I know things take time, but I’m starting to question if I did something wrong, or I missed something important. Either way I’m not trying to advertise here, just reaching out to see if anyone has any tips.
