If you didn't want to engage in any VicGate drama, then making a topic about Broly's new English VA probably wasn't the best thing to do.

To @TheAnimationFanatic and everyone else, let's respect @Eren Jaeger's request and avoid making any kind of comments like this. What you mentioned is a matter of opinion, not facts. In fact, that opinion tends to change depending on who you ask, and I'm going to do my best to not say anything further about it. The major reason: I am trying to stay neutral. It's not been easy, but that's my choice.

If you must comment on something, then I suggest we all stick to the facts:
What matters most is what happens in the courts.
So far, Vic Mignogna has lost his first trial. There has been talk about appealing to higher court. If that trial judges things differently, then good for him. But so far, he hasn't won any legal battles yet.

I'm equally torn. I use to love Vic Mignogna's work as a VA and as a positive roll model to others. This news has come completely out of left field. I don't want to believe it, but I'd be a fool to ignore it.

And I think JYB is also an amazing voice actor! I have loved nearly every roll he's been in. It's going to be hard to get use to hearing him as Broly. I really want Vic to keep that roll, but even if the courts decide that Vic is innocent, I doubt he'd ever walk back into the Funimation recording studios ever again after all this.

Also, you're my friend, but I can't agree with you on businesses being able to fire anyone for any or no reason. Termination from any job should be fair and just. It should reflect your inability to do what you were hired for, your lack of respect for the work area/coworkers/the law, and any reasons that you agreed to or signed off on when you joined. Being able to fire someone at the drop of a hat is just chaotic, that's why there's such a thing as wrongful termination suits.

I understand, trust me. It should be fair, but the real world isn't, and not everyone has the ability to do something about it. Still, I do believe that this is one of those things where it should be fair, people should be held to higher standards, and there should be push-back when that fairness isn't adhered to. Otherwise, we just have chaos where rules don't matter, there's no security in anything, and anything goes.
