Rose decided to bring a weapon of her own, ready to see if she could use any of the powers she knew were hidden away inside of her. Reaching the top of the staircase, she kept her hoof on the knob. She turned her head back and said,

 

"Ready for this?"

Scout gazed out from the Everfree forest and saw a large amount of fireballs dropping from the sky. They seemed to be missing one of the houses, so he set out for that one*

Cloud sighed and gave a determined look, "Ready"

After dodging fireballs and a close call, he came to the front door of the house*

"Hello there my friend! Who are you?" says prince turning around to this new pony behind him as he stood on the door mat.

 

"... My name is Scout," he says quietly, sizing up the pony in front of him*

Prince took his changelle, and walked to him puffing out his chest. "Lightning Flicker" Prince extended his wings all the way out to show he was an Alicorn. "Prince, Lightning Flicker. But we don't have time to fight each Scout, we must find ourself a shelter." he said retracting his wings and backing down.

He nods, "I know who you are. You visited the forest last summer and ran out of it," he looks down, "My, err, social skills aren't up to snuff... This is the only house the fireballs seem to be avoiding."

"I knocked on the door but no pony answered..." he said looking at the closed front door.

"Hmm. Either no-one's home, or their holed up to much. There's a window though."

"Let's go!" Prince nodded to Amy and she landed on his back and looked at Scout ready

"..." *Jumps up on the windowsill, lose balance, and crashes through*

"Obviously, youre a woodland scout if you did that" joked Prince from the window seal.

"It's just... so flat... and smooth... *Umph*" *Slips on the floor*

"Ha!" laughed prince landing on the floor as Amy followed. "Seems safe.."

"I hear breathing near the front door. It's faint, like someone near-death or passed out."

"We gotta help them!" said prince looking around.

And then Lunar appeared once again, outside the front door. He had used an invisibility spell when he saw moving fire, but it seemed to be just a pony with his phoenix. Another pony had joined while Lunar was invisible, and the two broke through the window. Were they trying to rob the place? Lunar was too scared to find out, and passed out from the use of too much magic. His head banged against the door, making a loud sound. Thump.

"You hear that? Someone's at the door."

"Weren't we just there?" said prince dumbfounded.

[Octavia's Bow 2,035]

"... Well, it's possible for someone to hide, you know. There was only one thud, so it couldn't have been a knock. Besides, the door is where the breathing is coming from. Let's check it out."

Rose opened the door slowly, ready to expect anything. Instead, she opened her door to see a broken window and ponies in her living room. She called out,

 

"W-What the fuck are you doing in my home?"

Cloud glared at the intruding ponies, to ask and be let into a home was one thing, but breaking and entering was another. But then again, it was the apocalypse...

 

He stayed quiet as he waited for the ponies to reply.
