Mi Amore, Celestia's niece!

So who else was somewhat surprised or upset as Netflix calling Princess Cadence "Mi Amore" in the episode summary, as well as implying she is (hopefully Princess) Celestia's niece?

 

I screen captured the two episodes from Season 2:

 

Why do you think she was called by her first name, even for the second episode, as well as the whole important niece thing? Is this Netflix to blame, or is this a global problem on all streaming services? is it a problem at all? Is it accurate or inaccurate? Can it be fixed?

Calling her "Mi Amore" is clearly a mistake, and makes me think the people writing the episode descriptions did not watch the show. Come to think of it, I'm not exactly sure why her name is spelled "Cadance," when that word would usually be spelled "cadence."

I think Cadance being Celestia's niece is canon, but exactly what that means is unclear - the My Little Pony wiki lists at least two different backstories for her, one from the chapter books and one from the card game. I'm pretty sure the official line is that Celestia adopted her in some way, which is why she's Celestia's "niece," but again, I'm not so sure what that means.

Also, can anyone tell me why Shining Armor isn't a Prince?

 

Prince Shining Armor, because he was married to a Princess? Maybe that is not how things work? Is it only when a Prince marries any women that they become a Princess, but not the other way around?

I thought they actually referred to him as a Prince in one of the episodes?

I only know of Prince Blueblood. If Rarity married him, would she become a Princess?

 

I still wonder how Princess Celestia managed to have siblings like this, and still choose Twilight Sparkle to become the successor instead of her own family????

I think it was that episode where the Mane 6 were at the Crystal Empire, preparing for the Equestria Games.

Yea, I will check that episode. I haven't watched it in a long while.
