The worst FF I've ever played was X-2, it was nowhere near its predecessor that was X (A masterpiece on the PS2)

But heck, who wouldn't cringe at the infamous laugh by Tidus in X?

Edited cause I didn't read the title of the thread properly.

My unoriginal choice would be XIII, boring and terrible cast, with only Sahz worth salvaging, terrible story, and was so horribly linear it made the game a slog. I know X was fairly linear, but even that felt more fun to traverse and had a better plot and characters to boot. It still amazes me how Square felt it warranted 2 more sequels

Of all the handful I have played, FF II hands down. Their grinding system is a severe detriment on an otherwise decent game

Thats only old FF game i legit liked though. Grinding in that one was fun interms of FF2. FF3 is just like watching a wall dry. Nothing interesting happens in it

Don’t get me wrong, that grinding is annoying p, but it’s not enough to make me throw a way the game. Also, FFII isn’t by any means a bad FF game, but of the comparatively handful FF (5, 1, 2, tactics, Dissidia, Dissidia Duodecim, and both Bravely Defaults if you count those) tittles I have played, I must say 2 is my least favorite. I’m far too certain if I ever bothered with XIII, it would be on my least favorite instead of II

For me it is a tie between the awful FF13 and it's spawn FF13-2. 13 has the inferior gameplay, with nothing but lame as hell corridors for dozens of hours and a leveling and customization system that feels so limited and lackluster. It has a fairly bad story on top of that. 13-2 has slightly better gameplay, not by much and somewhat better overall design, but the story is somehow drastically worse than 13, with time travel nonsense and zero characters worth caring about. The battle and leveing systems are still boring as hell in this sequel. Both games are just a total slog, yet somehow I actually finished 13-2. I really don't know why. The visuals in both games are superb in both games, that's easily the best aspect and one of the only great aspects, eye candy.
