And that. That's my usual true answer :mlp_icwudt:

I start to do this when I hear the song play on the radio :P .

I don't know, but I'm now singing that song thanks to this question. Maybe this is love, to enjoy life. Excuse me, I have to go dance.

No, for real now. Love is a neccesity and a compromise, an emotion and a passion, a desire and a fear, a deal and a debt, a dream and an illusion, an ideal and an instinct, a truth and a lie. Like life, love is many things.

I will answer this with a quote from Rick Sanchez from the animated series Rick and Morty: “Listen, Morty, I hate to break it to you, but what people call love is just a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed. It hits hard, Morty, then it slowly fades, leaving you stranded in a failing marriage. I did it. Your parents are going to do it. Break the cycle, Morty. Rise above. Focus on science.”

Many people think that love is something more, that it is a divine gift, but I don't think so. For me, love is just chemical reactions and nothing more.

Rick and Morty... This show is so bad it actually is good :jazz-hooves-please:

Now look at the character development of Rick because I think it's fantastic. He distances himself from almost everybody and this causes the depression, addictions and him being unhappy in general. Is he ever really happy? Of course he is! When he spends his time with his dauther and his closest friends. And when he loses them he is a complete mess. Why? Because he loves them.

The thing Rick is describing here is "lust". "Love" is something much more complex. Hovere, both are hormone-dependant. Why are we happy when spending time with ceratin people and not with everyone? Why we would do something for some people but not for everyone? Why we miss someone? Why are we worried when we don't know what's going on with some people?

Now, Rick in fact loves Morty and wouldn't be able to live without him. But the scenerio is so tricky it is acctually never said.

The way we feel love may differ between people. This is  why we all may have our own concept of love :Pip-giggle:

Love is an action. It's listening to and serving a person you care about, helping them and yourself to be better people. Like a plant, it needs to be nutured, or it won't grow. Neglect it too long, and it will die. :fluttershy:

Depends on the person, and the type of love. For romantic love... Kinda hard to describe it honestly. I guess I would describe it as feeling... complete. Love, being around someone you love, makes you feel like the best version of yourself. I think that's one of the distinct differences between "lust" or just having feelings for someone.
