I wanted to do a Nightmare Moon one but it would’ve taken hours.  We got Mike Wasowski in though! 
Note: I’m horrendous at it so it’s mostly my sister and mother who did this.

Thank you, well depends I suppose on the design of it really. You can do some rather outlandish designs including a lot of carving tools, or you could do a typical pumpkin which is mostly your normal carving with a knife. So you know I would say maybe half an hour likely less, got to clean out those pumpkin guts which usually takes a while. Then draw something on front, then use your knife to cut out those shapes. I mean you could do it in ten minutes if it was simple enough.

Haven't carved ours yet and they're not in the greatest state they could be. Girlfriend's is on the left, was always warty but was the only pink pumpkin in the field though the stem has become a bit rotten. I always go looking for a decent sized green pumpkin but this year's has ripened some since we picked it and there are a few mold spots. 

We also have a tiny white one sitting in the living room somewhere and one of those tiny orange ones from the store is sitting in the dash of the truck.

Umm...I drew a smiley face on a paper lunch bag. I was lazy and started this delightful new tradition a couple years ago and it stuck.
