Thuja 3,667 December 24, 2020 Share December 24, 2020 There are certain areas of my town that're more dangerous than others but there isn't much in terms of major crime. You might get the odd homeless person having a meltdown in the middle of the street but there hasn't been a murder in a few years. Where I live, this is a retiree town so there's a lot of old people here, not saying there's no crime here or else people wouldn't need to lock their doors. There's still a lot of domestic disputes and it's never a good idea to walk alone in the dark regardless of if you're a man or woman. A few years ago this one guy climbed up the brick wall of my apartment building and broke into the 4th floor apartment and there's this one mentally ill guy who comes in from another apartment building and tries to claim that the landlord kicked him out of the building and he actually lives here(he doesn't nor has he ever), he does that every few years. ExplosionMare 26,193 August 28 Share August 28 It's not horrible but I don't exactly trust my current neighborhood. We've been stolen from three times, the fence has been egged, and a little firework bomb thing hit my car and dented it, so people here can be pretty reckless. No one knows how to drive, either, but that's just the reality of the city I live in. 1 Boom!
Longhaul 9,765 August 28 Share August 28 I've never personally felt unsafe, but there are a few unsavory elements in the area for sure. Given the fact that the police came knocking on my door this past weekend looking for one of them. 1 Signature wanted -- inquire within
Envy 6,478 August 28 Share August 28 My current city is in between, but I think my neighborhood is fine for the most part. It's no Waterbury, that's for sure. 1 Everything needs more woodwind!
DubWolf 19,976 August 29 Share August 29 (edited) Not in it, but around it it does garner some attention. Hate that stupid chopper buzzing around endlessly pretty low some nights … can’t you just freaking hover? I guess that would be a bit worse for some. Dreambiscuit 12,173 September 2 Share September 2 It is somewhat dangerous where I live. The crime rates used to be very high, but in recent years things have gotten better because it's a tourist area and crime is bad for business, so they made an effort to clean it up. I still wouldn't go out alone after dark or go looking for trouble because it's never far, no matter what. 1

Iforgotmybrain 7,808 September 9 Share September 9 Not really, no. The specific area I live in, you don’t really see many break-ins or robberies or any sort of public violent crime like that. The whole community including all of Toledo? It’s mostly safe. I mean, Toledo isn’t paradise but it’s not like Akron or Youngstown either. There’s a few bad areas but they’re easy to avoid.
IronM17 6,308 September 9 Share September 9 My neighbourhood is not dangerous. the most dangerous parts of germany are in some areas of the bigger cities, but here on the country, what usually can happen are burglaries, disputes between neighbours or fights between drunken people on a village festival. I live on the country in a really smal village and here, I can not remember when something bad happens.
Tao 9,560 September 9 Share September 9 The part of the city I live in was not too crime-driven when I first moved, but it has changed a bit. I have been noticing a lot more cops coming down the roads. One of my friend's/coworkers was harassed by the local cops given that he is black, which he even said was the first time he has had that happen living on this side. We have also, in the last two years, had a rise in gunshots, drug use, and break-ins all over the city. So I don't walk at night and even going out to my car at work, I always have a knife with me and ready to use....
ZiggWheelsManning 15,129 September 15 Share September 15 With several ambulance and fire truck sirens (yes there's a firehouse in my neighborhood) daily, I suppose it's dangerous with many car accidents Special thanks to Emerald Heart for the banner!
