I didn't nullify your actions, I simply said that they didn't have any effect on the other participants. From Light's perspective, things happened exactly as you said they did, but in this scene, what the characters see and what actually happens are very different things.

Unless I invite you to change your posts, don't, especially if you change them based on acquiring information out of character.

Yes but I didn't read that part yet, where I was actually in a delusion. And that part was a mistake of mine so the new lines I made we should stick to that though... Unless you have something in mind.

I am very confused.

Here's the sequence of events from my perspective:

The group enters the chamber, and gets attacked by shadow weapons. Light casts a very bright light, which the kitsune takes advantage of to take over the visual perceptions of everyone in the room, at that moment shifting everyone to their own "space" mentally such that they don't know that things have changed. Light's perception shows him doing the things as you described in your post, and the others are blinded by the light.

The kitsune then shifts Light's perspective again, to show that Light actually hit Spiral with his attack, indicating that this is either another deception, or that the first view when they entered the chamber was false, and that they were deceived from much earlier.

Light appears to assume the former, killing what looks like Last without a second thought.

 

So where was the misconception? Were you going to edit your post without consulting me based on what I said in the ooc? or what?

1. You guys are trespassing
2. Members of your party have stolen things
3. You rather violently destroyed that door in the armory, activating the security system
4. Your group attacked the golem that had Spiral, rather than investigating other options
5. Your group dismembered the golem for parts after disabling it
6. Your group decided that killing the book birds was the best option, after trying nothing else

So the Kitsune has several reasons to presume that you're violent looters and as such is ready to defend herself if she can't be convinced to the contrary. Light isn't doing much to impress her.

Just want to make sure you know what happened, to clear up if the confusion/delusion is just Light or if you misunderstand.

The Kitsune didn't kill Ficus, nor did they make Light kill Ficus. All she did was make Ficus look like Last and make it look like she was attacking.

Light could have tried to dodge, tried to see if this were an illusion, tried to block, done anything else, but no. He decided to kill Last, or what he thought was Last, of his own free will and choice. While his perception was muddled, that does not change that he took no steps to make sure his actions were correct before killing Last.

He also didn't try to save Spiral's life, she wasn't dead yet in his vision, but Light didn't know because he didn't check.

Just making sure that you know/understand, Light is 90% responsible for Ficus's death.

Lol 90% Light's fault? When the kitsune deliberately attacked us first then put an illusion to make it look like I was being attacked by Last Stand which is actually Ficus who isn't doing anything wrong.... First of all Light is just the gun in this situation and the kitsune pulled the trigger.

Don't blame the gun blame the shooter. And if the kitsune didn't attack first none of us would've and Las stand I believe retaliated... I just tried to support her. But then all hell broke loose and was in an illusion... How would I know if what I hit is real or not?

See my previous post on why the Kitsune isn't keen on your presence. You don't wait for a robber to attack you when they're in your home to attack them.

Light had many options that did not involve killing Last, but he didn't do any of them, that's hardly the Kitsune's fault. He didn't even feel bad about it at the time, and even now his sadness seems oddly selfish.

Whether you like it or not, Light's carelessness got someone killed. I don't mind in the slightest if Light refuses to accept fault, denial is an important step of grieving, but I need you to understand that this happened because of Light's choices. I simply allowed the natural consequences of his actions to occur.

Sure, I could arbitrarily decide what happens, decide for everyone what their characters do to act out my perfect story, kill and save whoever I like. But that doesn't make for a good RP. In order for an RP to be good I have to allow the players to make choices that I'd rather they not. Occasionally I'll ask them to step back and try again if their actions stray into territory I'm not willing to follow or deviate too far from what I consider acceptable, but other than that I simply narrate the consequences of their actions. Light KNEW that he couldn't trust his perspective, that there might be others around him, yet he decided to kill, and an innocent creature got hurt in the process. I allowed it to happen because I believe that unfortunate AVOIDABLE consequences make for good stories. Removing the possibility for your characters to make mistakes would remove the suspense, the sense of danger, from the story.

 

That said, Light is starting to wear on the kitsune, especially since he just made what could easily be construed as several serious threats against the Kitsune, his comrades, and the one the Kitsune cares about. Unless Light choses his next words and actions carefully the kitsune will be inclined to simply remove Light, or rather, remove what makes him more than an earth pony.

Initial thoughts are distrust given she's a unicorn and has stolen things.

That opinion is improving as Spiral has shown a willingness to be reasonable, and is open about her past.

At this moment, the Kitsune does not consider Spiral a threat, and is willing to trust her with her friend's safety.

I figured Spiral was the one to be trusted, since she too, was power hungry, so she understands those who are - and seeks to defeat that thought process, in her own mind.

Interacted, and as should come through here, Last is not overly pleased with Light. I hope I used words that wasn't too harsh for the forums, but I were trying to get her anger through, and she's a blunt sort. @Illiad Easle lemme know if I should edit something.

From the way I was reading it, Light is the antagonist here, as the Kitsune and all that was set up not to be what they expected.
