So Molotov thinks it isn't fully working yet, and uses a more conventional teleporter to teleport the wrong Blitz out of the Project when she is spotted.

 

Something like that, I think the last version I mentioned makes the most sense.

I think having 2 different teleporters wouldn't make much sense, as why would there be a point in making 2 separate ones, when instead you could put all your focus and effort into making 1 work properly?

I think blending them together makes more sense. As in, he have put all effort into 1 teleporter, and via the help of some like Taps and Oracle, had expanded on it to make the option for a targeted teleportation. It would involve attaching a container to the energy output system. In said container, you'd then add an item with a connection to the subject, that then could be used to track down and grab hold of the subject in question. And after having done tests on inanimate and animals, and with some pressure, he would then go on to try and get Illiad. When that didn't work then, he'd assume something had gone wrong with it, and promise that he'd try and have it fixed, before it had the extra charge needed for a second attempt. As it requires more power (specific target, and a potential longer range) ir would require more power, and thus the extra container needs to charge for some time. We can say like, a day or something alike.

In the meantime, Felicia - one of Molotov's prime creations - would have been out scouting, and took notice of the unfamiliar group. More specifically, Blitz. It wouldn't look like how they were used to seeing her, but it would be close enough to tell that it were Blitz. She'd report back to Molotov via long range telecommunication, and hearing Blitz were there, knowing her exact location, and seeing how she didn't appear to be armed for a change, he would react instantly, and activate the teleport. That being before Felicia has a chance to warn him that several things does not seem to be right about this.

This would also give an angle for them to make a connection, since after she were taken, there'd likely be some degree of panic. if from no one else, then at the least Occam. Once it had been established this were not the real Blitz, and determining the danger level of these strangers, Felicia would go and make contact at an opportune time, that they may sort things out properly, as it were. That she would do, regardless of Molotov's orders. She may listen to his requests, but she is ever her own master, and will wander her own paths, if she sees it fit.

If not take contact, she would still keep them observed however, wanting to know their movements, in case they proved problematic down the line. They'd be an unknown force after all.

I'll need to know a bit more about her, about her personality and general outlook on life, so I can fill in a human backstory for her. 

I usually had Sorrow at around 17-19'ish. never established it further, as it wasn't all that important in my mind.

As for her human side, I will start then with a brief backstory of her, as I have her written.

Sorrow is as said, a member of a family of mediums, who interacts with the dead in various ways. For unknown reasons (or rather, reasons that have no bearing upon this thread) every mare in her long family line, have had that. As such, they are often giving their young morose sounding names, with her father from the family being called Grim Tidings, and her mother, Bouncy Brioche. Married into the family.

Sorrow got a name befitting the family legacy, but she is an eternal optimist. Having drawn from the teachings of her family, she does not view death as something to fear, but just the step from one journey to the next, and helping spirits passing on, a thing of beauty and joy. You won't find her sulking, or wearing heavy makeup. Death is to be celebrated, when it marks the end of a life well lived, and if for one taken too early, you should think of how they were as they lived, and treasure the time you had together. Even if it is hard to lose someone, life still goes on, and those left behind, would want for their loved ones to be happy, and live. Not be saddled with ever consuming grief..

The skull you see around her neck, is originally meant to be imbued with a protective spirit, that helps her when she interacts with the dead. I could see that grow dormant when she switched worlds, as the laws of magic would be different there, but she would still keep it. Something in her telling her, that it were an important gift, though she knew not why that were.

As for her as a human, think of her as a bubbly, happy girl, and subsequent woman. One who would relish in traditions of death, but having an ever present smile on her face, and would likely volunteer at a funeral home, and subsequently working for one as she grew older, with stuff like bringing flowers out, or helping to arrange the gravesites well. Perhaps she might even be a grave tender, as she'd find great joy in keeping the gravesites nice and presentable. Holidays like the *Day of the Dead* would be something she'd definitely go whole-heartedly into as well.

It would also fir her personality greatly, to be an amateur paranormal investigator in her free time, and would openly seek out a group to join that did it, as she likes the company of others. A breath of excited optimism, to a group that might otherwise be too serious or fearful.

Sure, we can do a new thread for this, if by this you mean the whole story? Or if you mean a separate thread for your character at Archback until Archback is visited by the main thread, that can also be arranged. I just don't want the two stories to get out of sync.

At the start of the story, I'm thinking of having The Author kick Light out, sending him back to where he came from at the start of the story now that the Project has returned to its original universe and The Author has a bit more power to do so. Maybe we can have him make a return during the second planned event, but that's a big maybe. That will allow you to focus more on your new character in the mean time.

I figured he would have multiple versions of the teleporter, building a new one rather than modifying the previous one, thus having two versions of the teleporter, but if you think it would make more sense for him to just modify the working teleporter then we'll go with that.

The plan you've laid out makes sense, as does your proposed backstory for your humanized character, I'll work those attributes in to their human life.

As to what is different between Five Score and here:

• In Five Score, over 10k ponies came through the portal and stayed after Discord was defeated. That is far too many to reasonably sustain in an area with no food or clean water access.
• In this story, most of them, including all but 2 of the Elements, went back to Earth to gather the remaining ponies (which according to the story total up to 4 million as the total population of Equestria) and keep them safe until the portal opens again. The remaining few hundred will work the five years to make the place livable for them in that time.
• This allows us to ignore cannon characters for the most part, and keeps the population small when interacting with the return site.

Incase something did happen to him that is out of our control, I would suggest it is best for us to move on with the story. Don't want to hold us up for someone who may not be coming back for whatever reason. If he does return, he would be free to jump back in if he wants. That is just my opinion.

Due to various changing circumstances in my life, I have decided that I will likely be quitting the forums. have to take certain steps to begin moving forward in my life how I want to do it, and I've recently gotten involved with other matters in my life to warrant this change. Some real serious personal changes (for the better) are occurring right now in my life. 

 I am not going to leave these RPs hanging and just leave without telling anyone, that'd be unfair to you two. I would like to at least plan it out with you OOC and discuss how it would go.

I'm sorry to hear that you'll be leaving, but if you think it will be for the best then I would hardly want to get in your way.

Per your characters here, I was already starting to set up Power replacing Spiral as the Consul, so she can fade into obscurity when you need to leave.

Janet is not attached to any of Blitz's characters, and Archback is far enough away from the Project that there won't be any interaction for a while, so there's no worries there for your departure. We can play that out as long as you want.

I will be honest about why I am leaving. I found myself a girlfriend. I've known her for a long time and we made it official a few days ago. I won't be alone anymore, nor will I feel like that anymore because my best friend is now my girlfriend. I am so happy with how things are going. This is going to completely open up and change my life in ways I can't even think of, I won't be the same person I was anymore, and I am all the ready for it. 

I am sorry to step in the way of our RPs like this. If you have other points of contact, we can always discuss things over Discord.

Cherilee already told me in a PM, and while I am sad that you need to go, I cannot fault you for wanting to focus on your real life, now that you have gotten into a relationship (Congratulations by the way.  ). We will take things as they go, but when time comes, and you think you are ready, you'll have nothing but my best wishes for your future, and what I hope will be a long, exciting new chapter of your life.

Thank you so much, @Blitz Boom! It has been a joy roleplaying with you for roughly 8 years now. If you remember the first RP we did was in the Casual Stroll RP with a stallion named Gordon. I also had an alicorn named Lord Senvious. It's a real thing in life, change. Change can either be good or bad. but one thing is constant - change. For me, it is a good change. While there is a long road ahead for me, I have faith and belief that I will make it with my girlfriend. This relationship has made me examine so many things about myself and I've made many positive changes towards being a better person. I've cut out toxicity from my life, I've been more active, I've been eating better. I can really feel it in my heart that things will only get better from here. 

I love you guys, and thank you for the memories. The memories we made here will last forever, the forums has impacted my life permanently in many positive ways more than can be counted.

Figured I'd make a nice reference to who Molotov's wife were, with one from the Quarry RP we used to have.  There's no need to make further use of Ziggy than this though, unless you want to.

Also, I forgot I already gave their youngest a name, but like Azizi, so uh... I edited the first post. I promise this will be the only time I do that.  I just wanted to give a proper zebra name, when I settled on who his wife were, and I read that Zecora for instance, were a Swahili name. So I ran with that.

And yes, off the bat, I did intend to use Void, hence Null Blaster. But I think this works better, as I dunno why Void would be there, and her aura would cause issues.
