Famed authors and illustrators Eric Carle and Lois Ehlert died this week within a day of each other.

RIP to these two. They were both part of everyone's childhood in some way or another, and will be deeply missed.

The author of those children picture books I grew up with? The very hungry Caterpillar and chicka chicka boom boom? Those are the people that help introduce me to some basic concepts about life.
