web How do I advertise my friends videos?

I wanna help a friend of mine advertise his videos to get him more views, but I have no idea where to start.

He also wants to advertise but half the time he either can't advertise where he wants or the people that see it get pissy with him like with reddit.

Advice?

While advertisement is considered spam here, there is always this thread if your friend has videos on a YouTube channel:

He mainly talks about gaming and barely has over 100 subscribers

I tried a few other discord servers and even reddit once or twice myself, and he also tried on Amino and his own Twitter.

Does he play games too? What is his knowledge of games?

Generally a casual gamer, but depending on the topic he would research as much as he needs to.

For example he told me he was researching for a top ten clone fights and had to search up as much as he could for the Sushi Striker segment.

Granted he was the person to post the entire Sushi Striker OST since nobody else did......

 

He also had to search up some Jojo Bizarre adventure game for Overpowered characters as well since he mentioned that Pet Shop had unblock able combos.

He's been thinking of doing No Commentary Playthroughs of games but those would be even harder to advertise.

Playthroughs with Commentary are the best way to go. Think of all the great Let's Players on youtube. Perhaps if we were to do a video on the history of the game...

Asked him about it and he generally wants to stay away from it since its a bit oversaturated.

He's more of a person who likes to create videos where he has to edit them, kind of like summoning salt.

Fair enough, but he tends to do videos in the same style as Summoning Salt where he has commentary and stuff with some analysis
