I had no idea some of these songs were even /from/ 1994  .

-Can you feel the love tonight, Elton John (I knew that one, because Lion King)

-All I wanna do (is have some fun) -Sheryl Crow (shocker. Just a week before my bday)

-Return to Innocence, Enigma

-What is love (baby don’t hurt me :yay: ! Also a shocker) , Haddaway

-The Sign, Ace of Base. Top hit I believe. (I actually want to look into more of their music now). More if I have time :nom: (in red are actually 1993 DDDD: )

Not much time for songs and games during my early childhood. So, I don't think I have a favorite one from that time, really. Another issue is that the human mind tends to associate. So, I have noticed how people that experienced a traumatic past, tend to reject or avoid any subject that may remind them of the time. Regardless of whether they like it or not, because it is not that they dislike the subject, but that it reminds them of that problematic memory. I have had multiple people answering me this when I asked them about it, not just music, but also other subjects pertaining to that difficult period in their lives. Though, it may not always be the case, as people can also find means for escapism within within music and other forms of media.

But even then, it would difficult to mantain the same taste throughout my life. One's mind hopefully changes with time. And so does taste, as understanding about this creation is increased.
Sometimes, I used to like songs because I was not aware as to the meaning of the lyrics, or simply because I was projecting my own interpretation onto the song. And then you find out the meaning of the song is about drugs, addictions and worse. Hahaha. So, no. Zero, zip, zilch, nada.

1991. What a year. Grunge takes off, Metallica release the black album, gangsta rap, Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

1994 was an amazing year for music. It has nothing to do with the fact I was in high school. Nope … not at all!

Oh, absolutely. This one blew my mind in 1994:

:eager:

Also, Swedish group Rednex did a popular one in 1994 that you have probably never heard and still probably have (I don't like the music video though):

Cotton Eye Joe was one of those songs that was a popular silly song when I was a teen. I actually didn’t know the band was Swedish.

Oh and us Gen X types love making memes of it.

If you are born in 1993, then "What Is Love" is the first song of choice! Good one :squee:

One of those details that seem to disappear for that specific song. I have no idea why.

The Sign, Ace of Base

Another Swedish group :adorkable:

They do what I call, "Negative-Reggae" (reggae in minor key)

Both "What is love" and "The Sign" are from 1993 though

Many of the popular songs from that year have the word "sex" in them. :yeahno: The mainstream music industry is not a world I wanna be part of... :lie: *whistles and quietly goes away*

*returns* Here, the game was originally released in 1991 in Japan:

1988... Nothing rings a bell. I'm not a fan of 80s music so I tend to avoid music from that era and literally can't name a single song.

Maybe. Nothing against it, but it's not my style. lol

I just realized this song was released in 1988. Back in high school, when I listened to a radio station that played softer 80s like this and 70s they played this. It gives me a lot of nostalgia...
