Yeah, but also, nah. I guess it was the next FiM in that it was a kids show that nobody expected to be as good as it was, that attracted an audience outside of its target demographic (young kids and their parents). Nah in that the community never became as large as FiM’s was at its peak. It’s still a very good show of course, super cute.

It doesn't seem like the fanfare is as huge as when FIM was in the limelight, but even still the mainstream positive opinions of Bluey make explaining the idea of liking MLP to people a lot easier, they are both animated kids shows featuring colourful anthropomorphic animal characters with a surprising numbers of adult enjoyers........ I'll give you that but I feel like that's pretty much where the similarities end,

This show is indeed good, I've watched every episode of the show discounting the "minisodes". Next FiM though? ...No, not really. Not just saying that because I do not find the show as great as many say it is, it's also because this show and FiM are like night and day. Literally, the only similarity between this show and FiM is it starring a female protagonist and a good chunk of female characters. FiM's focus is the value of friendship and the wonder of unity while this show's focus is the value of family and the wonder of growing up. The crazes over the shows are different too with the FiM craze involving people being shocked that a show from a franchise that was always treated as a joke was actually good and the Bluey craze involving people being shocked that a toddler's show from Australia is actually better than a lot of other kids shows.

Absolutely not. I tried Bluey because I also heard it was popular and had some quality. But to be honest, it did nothing for me. When I first discovered MLP it grabbed me instantly despite the fact that I wasn’t even very open-minded to it at the time. But I couldn’t deny it was great and the rest is history. But I tried to like Bluey because I wanted another MLP, but sadly it didn’t deliver. It’s like so many other shows that, despite their decided lack of excellence, somehow succeeded. But it’s not for me and not even in the same stratosphere as MLP.

most of the adult bluey fans are parents and people who like cutesy comfy stuff whereas mlp's original adult fanbase was mostly horny weebs.

It doesn't have that same fandom but it's probably for the best. It's better that the fandom is the mainly target audience (parents and young kids) because it means the fandom gets a lot less saturated with slop and chaos.
