Updated my wallpapers. I especially like the one on the left :)

Yes, still rockin iTunes 10. iTunes 11 sucks and since I don't have an iPhone, I don't need it. But I like iTunes as a media player. On a decent desktop, it's a very good media manager.

Other than what you see on there, I have nearly 200 icons on my desktop. Thanks to Fences, nobody has to see that lol

Windows 8.1 Pro but Win 8+ is awful with a traditional keyboard and mouse. Start is Back makes it all feel very Windows 7-ish and the UI is friendlier for those who don't have a touchscreen monitor (I would get one but that's a very expensive investment right now)

Why're your shortcuts spread all over your desktop?

Anyways, here's mine:

Runescape?

Oh, and because I'm awesome like that. Plus, it makes Kyoko look like she wants to play Goat Simulator.

I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF RAINMETER.

So yeah... I was looking around for cool Rainmeter stuff, and I saw a configuration where the clock was behind part of the wallpaper. My Metroid wallpaper already had a nice, distinct foreground, so I separated it out, made it into a simple image meter, and then positioned it and the clock to my liking. It's definitely got room for improvement, but it looks pretty cool, IMO, and I'm a complete coding n00b, so even though this is the simplest of Rainmeter skins, I'm happy with it. :D

Here's a screenshot from my laptop...

Just out of curiosity, how is Ubuntu as a Desktop OS for you? I played around with the live environment for a bit and really liked it but I'm hesitating to commit to it full time (I actually used Linux for awhile but left to Windows after having issues with the latest distros back then)

The latest 14.04 works really nicely on my laptop. The NVIDIA drivers just work, which is pretty awesome because I couldn't even get the last LTS to boot on this thing ( Lenovo y510p). I heard from a friend getting Linux to work on recent NVIDIA chips is a PITA and basically to just stick with Intel graphics, but not only does it work, it sees both GPUs as well.

That's brilliant. ^_^

I think the main reason I never switched over was being stuck without any sort of graphics acceleration among various other driver related issues, but it's been working great so far and boots up in... 7 seconds or so.
