Ha! Caught in 4K, You shadow edited your post!

Trying to make me look the fool eh? :pout:

In all seriousness though, I should have reread your post before responding for that reason. It does concern me though that people can edit their posts on the forums without there being an indication of an edit.

This too is troubling me.... can we make a request for that? Edit notification?

Given she entered the craft from the side, it stands to reason that there might be another exit on the opposite side.
Digging through the junk the ruffians have gathered, she is able to find the other door and open it. There is a wall of dirt about a width away from the craft and running the length of it. It will be a tight fit, but she should be able to push through.

From there she can sneak towards the back of the crashed craft, towards the front of the craft, or leverage the closeness of the wall to climb on top of the craft.

Nightfall looks back up at her brother for help. He sighs but recognizes the value of getting more information on the pony they were looking for.

“We’re looking for a female earth pony that goes by the name of Red. She was headed northeast towards Sweetwater and Primm. She was ambushed somewhere in between there, and we’ve been tasked to find the pony responsible.” He explains to the diamond dog.

The diamond dog looked thoughtful, "Red... Reeeed..." They looked over their shoulder, "Hey Lobo, do we know a pony named Red?"

With a sigh a much larger diamond dog sat up, "Ummm..." he scratched his head, "Wasit that pony what does deliveries? Da special ones?"

The first diamond dog looked thoughtful, then nodded, "Yeah I think that's right." They turned back towards the ponies, "Haven't seen them in a while though, they only passed through when they had something to deliver, usually to the Armers whose set up shop underneath the bridge." They pointed to a nearby railway bridge with a cart set up in the shade beneath it. "But that makes sense if you're out looking for them. Prime has an office for the Pony Express, maybe someone there knows something more?"

They shrugged, "You have any leads on why they might have been ambushed? Or who might have been after them?"

Nebel makes a mental note to visit the Pony Express in Primm. “It’s as you say, she was a courier. I was not told what she was transporting, but clearly it was very important, whatever it was. I also was not told who ambushed her, that is what I am trying to figure out.

The dogs don't have any other information for you. You can quote their words into your next post as you decide where to go from here.

@StrawberryMilk Simp

I mean, you can always look back at our previous posts to remember things, I do that all the time.

The short of it, you've been tasked with retrieving the golden relic that the Solar Empire is after. Your map has been marked with the rail line on the east side, so heading east will get you there. As you move I'll describe points of interest as you pass them, which you can choose to investigate or ignore.

The signage indicates that it is Equestrian, pre-war.

The area is surrounded by a fence, but there are plenty of holes in it.

From the fence line she can see what looks like a bunker, and there seems to be a strange glow coming from the area that the bunker is facing.

.... Sure he is an earth pony.... There's earth pony magic.....

But losing that magic would turn him into a weak nerd of some sorts?

I mean .... He does focus on mercenary stuff... Weapons .... Building up strength fromit?...

Or maybe the thing he tasted doesnt really drains magic but life itself?.

So your telling me kuya is actually just using magic this whole time to walk.... And without magic. He is actually some weakling.......

Im actually a magician who unknowingly casts buff magic on myself?.... Or is this a reference to tirek taking the magic away from ponies?🤔

Is this whats happening? Id expect him to notice some changes but making him weak like that... 🤔

Can i get a resistance from it though?

How weak did it get me? Like without the earth pony magic how much did that affect kuya?

Like 10% of my strength is of earth pony magic was helping my strength?ets say im at 100%

How much percent is kuya now that i have poison 1.

So i van RP accordingly? Like can he shrug it off

" Mehh I've been to worse."

Or

" Holy shit! I'm drunk!?"

Or

"........."

*Takes a knee*

Approaching the bunker, the eyepiece she had been given started to vibrate, and she also started to feel... powerful? Like there was an excess of energy coursing through her. If she pulled down the eyepiece to see what it said it would clarify: "Thaumatological radiation detected! Warning, prolonged exposure without adequate protection can cause irreparable and unpredictable effects."

A gauge on the eyepiece would appear indicating how much radiation had been detected, and how much before damage might occur. Judging by how quickly it was rising, she had a few minutes before it would reach dangerous levels.

She would also remember having overheard on the Æther how Thaumatological residue was often the source of this type of radiation, and could be used to make magic boosting effects in small doses.

The shack itself registered higher levels of Thaumatological radiation, if she could be in and out in under a minute she'd be safe, but otherwise she'd likely want to find some form of protection before staying too long.

Although, with how good she felt being in the radiation... maybe she didn't have to leave quite so soon? She felt positively glowing in fact.

I'm saying that Earth Ponies rely on magic just as much as the other pony types do. Their magic allows them to have much stronger and heavier bodies without as much strain, and allows them to bulk up with less effort. Kuya, having strengthened himself his whole life, has acquired quite a bit of muscle mass, which without his magic he must now support by himself. I'd liken it to having the power steering suddenly go out in your car. You can still turn, it just takes quite a bit more effort.

In terms of stats, we'll say he's lost 2 strength, and 1 endurance, which would be his racial modifier. In terms of roleplay, we'll say he feels like he has a bad cold, he feels weakened and lethargic, and pushing himself will cause soreness and fatigue until the effect wears off.

While under antimagic poisoning you gain a resistance to magical attacks at 33% times the poison level, so at antimagic poisoning 3 (It's in your bloodstream) you are fully immune to magical effects.

Repeated exposure won't give you a resistance to antimagic.

While poisoned you should not ingest Thaum, while it will counter the anti-magic effect it will turn the antimagic inside you to tar, which can be deadly depending on where it is.

Oooohhh okeh i get the symptoms.

So thats it... I get a cold and a reduced stats?...

So if im fighting a mage i can ingest it or throw it into the air to cancel it out huh? Hmmmmmmm.....

Thaumatological burnout means that magical energy replenishes slower, and makes it harder to concentrate on spells, which is likely a minor concern for her. It also means magical stimulants will be less effective. For her this just means that her surgomancy packs will be less effective until the burnout wears off.

Nebel’s ears perk up as he hears noises from the service station, seems their efforts to remain undetected had been thwarted. Nebel freezes up, unable to decide what they should do.

Nightfall yells at her brother to break him out of his trance. She sees the military force at the glowing tower and takes off as fast as she can towards it. Nebel follows, and due to his taller physique, can run much faster. He places her on his back as he heads towards the tower.

Heading in the direction of the glowing tower, Carnelian comes across a pair of farms, the one on the left seems relatively untouched, which the one on the right seems to have been raided recently. There is also some hoofprints in the dirt, a pair of ponies passed through recently, headed along the road heading to the left.

Carnelian can also hear what sounds like some large creatures moving to the left, on the other side of a hill, heading her way.

Arriving at the farmstead on the right, she could see that beyond some foodstuffs, there wasn't much of anything worth gathering.

To the east is the relatively untouched farmstead, to the west is the ruins of a city blanketed in a purple mist, to the south the terrain forms into a shallow canyon that seems to head in the direction of the glowing tower, to the south-west it looks like she can go around the canyon.

How did the Trojans become the NCR

I would say the same way that America became the NCR, in that technically, they didn't, but their descendants who survived by living in Deep Science Vaults, and were brought up learning Trojan ideals, eventually came together with local survivors to form the NLR as a fusion of what they liked from Trojan history, as well as new ideas from experience in the wasteland. They are comparable to Troy with regards to some of their philosophies, such that they believe all sentient creatures should be treated with respect and that no creature is inherently more valuable/capable than any other creature, but they are less hostile towards Equestrian lineage and don't have the same respect for the dead that Troy had.

18 minutes ago, Props Valroa said:

how did Celestia keep the existence of Troy a secret?

Troy was a secret from the period of Nightmare Moon to a few years after Nightmare Moon's return. It helped that this was during a period where travel was expensive, no one questioned Celestia, and Troy was far away from the other Equestrian cities. After Troy's rebellion during Nightmare Moon Celestia announced that Troy had been destroyed. No one thought to question her, so no one went to check if it were true. Those who were curious enough to ask were sent to Eponsilon, which was destroyed during the Trojan fight for independence, so their curiosity was sated.

As Equestria renewed it's expansion into the Mild West with Dodge, Appaloosa, and Las Pegasus, Equestrians were once again exposed to Troy, but being confronted with the revelation that their leader had lied to them, or that their history books were wrong, gave them enough pause to not want to spread the news around. Troy was fine with this arrangement, as after being cut off from Equestria they strengthened their ties with the other nations, like Cervidas, Zebrica, and Gryphonia, and their culture being influenced by Changelings led to an isolationist doctrine.

In short, Troy remained a secret because no one dared to call Celestia out on it, information takes too long to spread with the technology they had, and Troy didn't much care to make themselves known to Equestria.

25 minutes ago, Props Valroa said:

what would the general relations be between the NCR and the Solar Legion be, currently?

The Solar Empire is enemies with the NLR. The Solar Empire asserts that all of what was once Equestria belongs to them, and that all who oppose them are trespassing and must be eliminated so that true Equestrians can once again inhabit the land. The NLR asserts that all creatures ought to be able to choose who will lead them, and that Equestria is dead and as such its lands available to others.

Discord's Legion wants to see everything brought down. Discord's original plan was to destroy Troy and Equestria so that new, better, civilizations could rise from the ashes to take their place. (Essentially things had grown stagnant before so no progress was being made.) Now that the table has been flipped and new pieces are being set up, Discord has left the scene content, but those who worshipped him think the work is unfinished, and so are continuing without his help or guidance.

29 minutes ago, Props Valroa said:

I imagine that the ancestors of the NCR were the ones who destroyed the Crystal Empire, correct?

It was Troy's weapons that destroyed the Crystal Empire, yes. But the NLR can hardly be held accountable for that. Still, it is reasonable that Carnelian would hold a grudge.
