Iforgotmybrain 6,953 August 24, 2023 Share August 24, 2023 (edited) Alduin in Skyrim. He's hyped up as this ultra powerful, literal world eater. But in game ends up being just as strong and literally the exact same as every other lame dragon fight. Only difference is you get 3 stupid Skyrim NPCs helping you fight him as if it wasn't easy enough on your own. It's the perfect flavorless cherry on top for Slyrim's really boring and bland main story. Edited August 24, 2023 by Iforgotmybrain
The Recherche 29,982 August 24, 2023 Share August 24, 2023 Even though I enjoy Bloodborne quite a lot, I am frankly not fond of most of its bosses. The Old Hunters carries its boss roster hard. The base game has only a few bosses that I outright enjoy, but most are underwhelming. None are more obnoxious than Micolash though. Not only do you have to tediously chase him about, he only has two attacks when you actually do catch him... one of which has a habit of one-hit killing me. So I get to chase him all over the place and listen to his dialogue on repeat over and over until I corner him again, only to get one-shotted again. Repeat this until my prayers are answered, and his atrocity of a boss fight comes to an end. 1 ❆~ 𝓐𝓵𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓟𝓮𝓮𝓻𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼 ~❆ 𝓕𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝓨𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓼 𝓲𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓜𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓰: 𝓜𝔂 𝓟𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓕𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹 𝓲𝓼 𝓜𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓬 𝓡𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀

Misty Shadow 8,195 August 24, 2023 Share August 24, 2023 (edited) Soulsborne freaking rules, but everyone agrees some of the bosses in the series are lame. The first time I watched a Dark Souls 2 speedrun showing Dragonrider falling off an edge and dying within a matter of seconds, I literally had to laugh in disbelief. Edited August 24, 2023 by Misty Shadow Very minor rewording.
Administrator Sir Hugsalot 9,367 August 24, 2023 Administrator Share August 24, 2023 Pinwheel from Dark Souls. He's not the easiest boss out there, but compared to other bosses in that game he's just... extremely underwhelming. Low HP, poor attacks and overall incredibly easy to beat. It's the same game where we have absolutely painful bosses like Ornstein and Smough. Also it appears in section of the game that overall is tough to handle. How did that boss happen, seriously? 1 As one person I cannot change the world, but I can change the world of one person. TheSupremeLeaderOfChaos 1,214 August 24, 2023 Share August 24, 2023 In Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, by the time you reach the boss Darkrai, you've received a bunch of op upgrades that make the final boss fight easier than 90% of the other boss fights in the game lolol! I'll never forget how surprised I was the first time I played through it, and the boss fight was so easy!! I will say, the story build up to that point did still make the whole thing pretty epic, but the actual fight itself is hilariously easy. If you like pokemon at all, I do highly recommend Shadows of Almia!!! It's my favorite pokemon game of all time, super underrated, with a great story!! 2 Signature made by- Kyoshi Make sense? Castle Bleck 19,440 August 24, 2023 Share August 24, 2023 (edited) Morpha in The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time. Canonically causes multiple natural disasters, and is over both the most-infamous Dungeon and the most-popular Middle Boss. Expectation? A Waterbender Cthulhu. Reality? …A glorified Blue Chuchu, just 1 attack, and can be cheesed in seconds. Cash In 23,029 April 29 Share April 29 Spiderdemon in the original Doom. It's the final boss, but I have never had even an ounce of trouble with it! Kyoshi Frost Wolf 42,202 April 29 Share April 29 Most bosses in Elden Ring. I personally found Elden Ring to be incredibly disappointing, and the bosses were a big reason why. There's so many copy and paste bosses, most of whom aren't made anymore difficult in subsequent fights unless they are made into a two vs one battle, which is just cheap difficulty. The rest of the bosses, while having good design, are so overly aggressive, have unreasonable damage output, and input read so much that fighting them solo and in a more traditional Souls-like way is infuriating. The bosses were clearly design with summoning in mind, be it other players or the ashes. It kills the single player experience for me. The worst of the worst are Melania, Margit, any of the tree sentinels, and of course any multi-boss fight. I've heard the DLC only goes further with this flawed design philosophy. Sekiro is my personal favourite FromSoft game, despite some of its flaws, and I like most of the bosses in the game. Demon of Hatred is trash though. It is just sooooooooooo tedious. Redeem me into childhood. Show me myself without a shell.
Misty Shadow 8,195 April 29 Share April 29 In the extremely disappointing time I've had so far playing Final Fantasy XVI, I found the boss fight with Garuda very lame. Being locked on a circular platform where you just slash away, wait for the tornadoes to subside, then slash some more is nothing compared to what follows. In the Ifrit section...you can literally just sit there and spam the exact same fireball move to win. A much more effective "strategy" than actually fighting. The action focus is not this game's only flaw, I wish.
