general questions What's up with the recent bans?

I apologize for any error or disruption, but I'm really concerned about this, I'm witnessing multiple users being banned, all on the same day (today) or within a short period of time, I even saw one of them updating the status to say "I'm banned and I don't know what the reason was", some of them even were users for years, these bans aren't looking natural for me and that's worrying me, it makes me think that I might be next and I might get banned without even noticing it, is it some troll reporting posts for no reason and his reports aren't getting proper review? Is it some glitch? Some joke? Or it's all just a coincidence and users being banned in a short period of time is something usual to happen here? Thanks
