RebelinNeedofCause 28 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 I'm not saying that I could get away with murder or that I want to murder someone, but I am saying that I think I could get away with it. With a shovel, a tarp, a couple of bags of lye I think I could get away with murder... and if that doesn't pan out with a couple thousand dollars I can live in mexico for a couple of years.... Do you think you could get away with murder?
Zoop 8,384 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 Do you think you could get away with murder? I suppose so; but then again, I suppose that a large number of people currently in prison for murder thought that they could get away with it, too.

FLARE 952 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 I guess its possible.... If I was to go murder people I'd do it in a batch, I just don't have the time to individually kill each person... kidding I do have the time, its the summer holidays in Australia :
RebelinNeedofCause 28 December 12, 2011 Author Share December 12, 2011 You would be psychologically traumatized for the rest of your life. Not so much by the fact that you ended a life, but more of the fear of constantly being able to be caught. That's true on an emotional level... unless you have sociopathic issues. But hypothetically taking all emotion out of the act could you with your knowledge of criminal investigations and forensic technology commit a murder and successfully get away with it? Nah 3,182 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 Maybe but then in that case it will require precise planning: Plot it out, choose the person you will kill Take them to a remote area with barely any people or CCTV monitoring Do it Destroy all evidence and plot your alibi When the cops interrogate you give them your false alibi Get drunk, forget you killed someone Do not take this advice to actually kill someone, I have never killed anyone, I have advanced thinking skills beyond the average person. :

L-PinkVsD-Pink327 177 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 I don't know, but if I did kill someone, there's one thing I would keep in mind: Don't let the murder look like a murder. Quickly set things up to where it looks like a suicide or tree falling on them. Even then, I would still have a pre-dug deep hole in a remote location for the body. Another thing would be to hide my desires to kill that person. Having no motivation(as far as they knew) would help if it got to that point. Evilshy 5,090 December 12, 2011 Share December 12, 2011 (edited) I already have. Jk. One of the biggest things that gets people caught is that they talk about it. You can't tell ANYONE. And you can't have friends help you move the body, or even help you set up a frame without telling them, because NOBODY can know. Personally, I wouldn't have a problem with this. There are plenty of things about me not even my family and closest friends know, and I'm a great actor on top of that. Another big thing is disposing of the body. Burying wont work for several reasons, the biggest of which is that the body is still there. Also, the way dirt settles over time and how certain plants grow makes it easy to find a large hole. As the body decomposes to a skeleton, the dirt will sink. Also, some plants grow faster than others, and you'll often find that if you dig a big hole and then fill it back in, that patch will soon be covered in fast growing weeds and not whatever else is around. And if the plants match, obviously the new ones will be younger. As a guy who digs a lot of holes for legal purposes (landscaping), I know it's easy to recognize where something has been dug. A way to eliminate this is to put some bushes over it or something, that way the large hole won't look out of place, nor will the plant life. The sinking could still happen, but you could solve that under the guise of tending to your plants. The problem of the skeleton still being there remains. Even if you take precautions to stop it from being ID'd, having a skeleton under bushes you planted is still suspicious as hell. Fire is a possibility, but it won't completely burn the skeleton unless it's a really hot fire and you let it burn for a long time. the teeth won't burn at all and can be used to ID a body via dental records. Grinding the teeth into powder and mixing it with the ash would do the trick. If I had to hide a body, I would first bring it to my house, which is in the country. People up here frequently burn yard debris and stuff, so a large fire wouldn't be out of the question. I would burn he body as best I could, grind the teeth and remaining bones into power and mix it with the ash. I would either A) mix it with fertilized soil and plant something with it, or ditch in the river near my house. The alibi probably wouldn't be a problem, as I'm extremely catious by nature and wouldn't kill somebody unless I knew I had a good alibi. I also tend to overthink things, which would probably help in this case. I would also take precatiouns regarding the murder weapon. I would likely make it look like an accident, or use a weapon that could be easily and quickly disposed of, thus removing evidence. I would wear old clothes and gloves that I would burn. I would likely wear a mask and a tight hood to both prevent any witnesses from seeing me (although I'd make sure there was like a 1% of there being witnesses) and to prevent any hair from falling from my head. I don't have a problem with shedding, but you never know. Having never committed a crime, and certainly never having done anything so horrible as murder, I dont know how I would deal with it psychologically. I've always been good at hiding and blocking out my emotions, and things such as guilt and stress seem to affect me very little. The fear of being found out might be a problem, since I am somewhat paranoid. I sometimes think that somebody has planted cameras in my house, and have even spent time searching for them when I was sleep deprived and the more rational part of my brain wasn't awake enough to tell me to stop being an idiot. My plans would focus more on preventing me from becoming a serious suspect in the first place, because if any sort of in depth investigation started on me, I'd probably go crazy, tell-tale heart style :/ Of course, this is all assuming that I would murder somebody. Which I wouldn't. And if I did, I wouldn't be telling you how I did it. Edited December 12, 2011 by Evilshy Signature now 99% less edgy!

Finesthour 7,287 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 Here is an interesting theory. In law enforcement, we heard of a thing called double jeopardy. In theory, if you committed a crime and you get off innocent, you can do that crime again and not be tried for it. You will be immune.

Authetius 30 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 (edited) Here is an interesting theory. In law enforcement, we heard of a thing called double jeopardy. In theory, if you committed a crime and you get off innocent, you can do that crime again and not be tried for it. You will be immune. Unfortunately, this is untrue. One murder is a separate crime from another murder. If this was true, I would have definitely tried with some other petty crime like speeding. Now if I could get away with it? I think I definitely could, and an earlier comment by someone actually makes me suspicious about my mental condition just a bit. I honestly don't think I would be mentally damaged at all if I killed someone, unless, of course, that someone is a person that I love or deeply care about - though I would never kill someone like that, and therefore the person I WOULD murder would not damage my mental state at all. I'm smart enough to put together some sort of program to make pre-made responses and pieces of work on my computer pop up online while I go and commit said murder, I've never released a secret to another person in my life, and I am heartless when it comes down to my safety versus yours (though I would be a bit disgusted for a while if I had to wash your brains out of my clothing, that would just be because I think blood is awful though.) Lady Rarity Pony 4,892 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 Because of where I live, definitely not. the police would easily find any body in any place and there's almost no place to hide them except maybe the side of a rode. Authetius 30 December 13, 2011 Share December 13, 2011 nah bro, still separate crime - I take crime as in the definition where its an event where a law is broken. If that's what the definition really is (too lazy to look up), then two separate times when you go steal something (for instance), even if its the same object from the same place, is still two separate events and crimes.
