It used to have this big merry go round, and all the older kids would run as fast as they could to get it up to speed. I had the fun idea to leap off thinking that I could fly. Somehow I maintained the pose, and little ol me made it nearly 20 feet before crashing into the woodchips. I wasn't badly hurt, but I was bawling my eyes out. Envy 6,162 March 31 Share March 31 I distinctly remember at one stage (probably age 7 or so) I was fascinated with cats and wanted to be one. I don't know that I ever "pretended" necessarily aside from in my mind, and when playing with other kids I would like to take the role of cat if we were playing animals. 1 Everything needs more woodwind! We had this walnut tree, and the leaves would dry out in such a way that they looked like ladles. My "broom" was either this nice stick I liked, or my scooter, depending on how far I had to go. Dreambiscuit 9,691 April 12 Share April 12 A princess most of the time, and occasionally a mermaid (yeah, I still pretend the same things sometimes). And I occasionally pretended I was a giant and would walk around in slow motion, crushing cardboard towns (and my brother’s toys) underfoot.
