If you could change anything you want within MLP

Of course everypony knows that G4 has ended and with the rise of G5 coming out with new content for the MLP community. Everyone has their own opinion about how some episode/seasons or characters that they didn't like or liked. So I was wondering about what's every ponies opinions about ANYTHING about the show. Like for a few examples:

• If there was an episode form the show that you didn't like and thought some ideas that could make that episode better in your opinion.
• If there was a season that was lacking and maybe their was better ways to make the season better. 
• If there was any pony or any other creature's/species that you didn't like and wanted to change how they were brought in or change their backstory or thought they needed more screen time to develop their character. 

Now of course there is a lot more examples about how you could changes things in the show. These were just a few of them that I thought of but of course if anypony has something that they want to tell then please do share all of your lovely ideas. Also one thing to point out that it can be anything no matter how good or bad or crazy your ideas are just share it with anyone.

Just a reminder that please do respect others opinions no matter how controversial the idea is if it does get to that point of course.

In my opinion, most of the episodes from seasons 6-7 felt like filler content to the point where they were tedious to watch. Had they made some of those episodes 11-minutes long instead of 22, they probably would've worked better. I know Lauren Faust originally intended for FIM to have 11-minute long episodes, but that was changed during development of the third episode in the series.

It would've been nice to know what Rainbow Blaze's relationship is with Rainbow Dash. For those who may have forgotten, he's the rainbow maned stallion who accompanied Rainbow Dash at the Equestria Games in the flashback scene from "Games Ponies Play". It was confirmed that he wasn't her father, contrary to what fans believed prior to the release of "Parental Glideance". Was he her uncle? Her older brother? Her cousin? I guess we'll never know for certain.

I'm a little embarrassed to mention this, but since the OP said that you could mention any idea no matter how crazy it may be, I guess now would be a good time to set this one free. For some odd reason, I've always wanted to see Rainbow Dash eat an egg sandwich in either a Friendship is Magic episode or an Equestria Girls cartoon (maybe both). I figured since we've seen her eat sandwiches at least a few times in the cartoons, and we've seen Rarity and Sweetie Belle serve fried eggs in "Sisterhooves Social" confirming that ponies eat eggs, it would be the perfect thing for Rainbow Dash to eat for breakfast. She did eat a breakfast burrito in the Pinkie Pie ending for the Equestria Girls CYOE short "Wake-Up!", so I guess it kinda happened, albeit not exactly how I imagined it.

Would love to change Twilight's final Alicorn form as well. I so dislike how similar she looks to Celestia in the finale. She deserved to have a better design and not just be a recolor of her mentor.

There's also a handful of episodes that I'd either completely remove or redo, like Newbie Dash, 28 Pranks Later, Non-Compete Clause. Kind of funny those all involve Rainbow Dash, they really did her dirty with some episodes just like Spike.

I like your thoughts about what you have said but I'm REALLY HAPPY that you brought up the "Rainbow Dash eat an egg sandwich", this is what I love to see. Of course I still love how people would put there thoughts on how they would change some parts on the show BUT I will enjoy reading all the crazy ideas because that where the true fun begins. Hopefully other ponies will see this topic can write down there crazy ideas on what they want to change or see.

I would've had Chrysalis be redeemed. I know many in the fandom would hate such an idea, but to me, of all the villains in the show, she is the one that was perfect for a redemption arc. She is the queen of the changeling, presumably the mother of basically all of them, and her children all reformed, living much happier and peaceful lives. It would've been some great writing to have her come to conflict with this, wanting revenge on the pones, but eventually feeling alone, realizing what she had lost. It could be a sort of Kylo Ren situation, but actually done well. She could resist for a while, then it could all have this emotional fallout of her actions and that could lead to a happy ending for her and her offspring. Maybe she could've fought against Tirek as well. 

Would've been kinda neat, but the final season and the finale were both a writing train wreck so there was no way it would have happened. I understand why people hate forced reformation, but maaaan I still think Chrysalis was the prime candidate.

Hmm... I would say to find a way where the mane 6 become alicorns, the fact Twilight is an immortal and her friends have an expiring date makes me sad, sure is beautiful the last episode but it hurts like time is implied.

Another thing would be make a episode where Twilight left the message to the g5 ponies before turning into alicorn I dunno

Yeah that would be nice to have that in some way. Like I know that they did have Twilight leave a message in the 3 main crystals but it was corrupted by the end of the message. But it would be nice to see if Twilight or the rest of the mane 6 leave messages for the G5 characters to see or leave a message for anyone to read. Just like how they did it for Discord in the comics where Fluttershy left a message for Discord on a crystal slab.

I would probably:

 

-Have the show have less seasons (I think about 4-6 seasons is fine. Even though i like the last 3 seasons, with s9 being my fav, i think 7-9 seasons is a bit unnecessary.)

-Rewrite some episodes to my personal liking

-Give characters that didn't get enough episodes (or were abandoned) more screentime, and give the fandom's "hated" characters less screentime, if any at all

-Extend a few seasons (like s3)

-Get rid of some stuff (like the friendship school related stuff)

 

And most importantly:

-I would absolutely NOT make Twilight the ruler of Equestria at the end!

Honestly, there isn't much I can think about, or there's nothing, what I would've changed are very minor things, like Twilight's design in End of FiM (something iforgotmybrain already said), make Twilight's castle more similar to the Golden Oak library (as I saw in some fanarts, and i think it just looks a lot better than the castle we got), give more budget to the animators to make Twilight's fight with Glimmer as interesting as Twilight vs Tirek (hahaha )

I don't know, MLP is jut like DBZ for me, I'm so passionate about it that even with its problems, there's nothing that bothers me or that I think is bad enough that I would like to change it to suit my own personal liking, there are things I would've added at best, like more screen time for some villains (Sombra, Stygian...), more episodes focused on developing the young six (I think they became "experts" too fast), more episodes about Celestia, Luna, Cadance, and other characters as well such as Shining Armor, Limestone Pie etc or even tell news stories like Ponies go to Space, make a episode telling about Grogar, so we would at least know how big of a threat he was. Would've added even more awesome content to the show, but I'm completely fine with what we got.

Yeah I these points are good because I do like the idea having s3 with more episodes. Like of course what we got is still good but just having s3 be like another season that has 26 episodes would be very nice indeed. With your third point I also do agree because man there are so many character that really do deserve more episodes like for example having more episodes about Luna, Celestia, and many more characters. 

Of course to me I think the whole friendship school was a mix bag to me because I think it was fine but at the same time it was meh. Of course it would be interesting if there was a whole different story to tell if the friendship school didn't happen but I ain't smart enough to think like that haha . Also that last point of yours is really interesting because to me Twilight was the best choice to be the ruler of Equestria. But that's my own opinion of course and its really is interesting to know why you think not making Twilight the ruler of Equestria.

Well said my friend, yes I would like to see some changes to the show to make some characters or episodes better but still without a doubt the show is still a very enjoyable to watch and I'm glad what we gotten and it still makes me smile watching the show from the beginning all the way to the end of it. Honestly I love that idea of having a Twilight Sparkle vs Starlight Glimmer going full on Dragon Ball Z fight scene, that would be so damn good . Also yes Twilight's design really did needed to be different than a literally a copy of Celestia design, also if you still have those fanarts or guide me to lookup those fanarts of Twilight's castle being similar to Golden Oak library It would be interesting to see what would it look like.

I actually couldn't find much fanart of the redesigned castle, but the very few I could find look really good in my opinion, I really liked how the Golden Oak library looked like a tree, and was all made of wood inside, it was very simple but also very original, Twilight's castle kind of killed that charm for me, and I think there's way too much going on in the overall structure of the castle, I think it's maybe meant to share a resemblance with the Tree of Harmony, but I think they could've done it better, I don't know, I prefer first four seasons Nerd Poneh's library house

Honestly thinking and looking at the castle itself it can be better. Like for me I still think the castle was fine and it served its purpose being Twilight’s castle of friendship but still thinking about how it could change. Like what if the chest of harmony didn’t build a castle and indeed taken what’s left of Twilight’s old house and made her a grand and giant oak tree, something like that.

So true, if there were just more episodes in season 3. Who knows if there were mores episodes in season 3 maybe we could’ve gotten more episodes with Celestia and Luna or have other characters get their own episodes. I always like the concept of having MLP having a season 10 where season 9 will still be the same overall but having some episodes focusing on the younger 6 and other characters with some arcs ending and then having season 10 where it will mainly focus on the main 6 and also be the season to say goodbye and giving us final conclusions to the many characters we all love from the start of the show.

And you’re welcome . If I was decent at making good art I would alway or try to participate it any art content in the future.
