Umbra

Umbra is a fashion model from Summer Island in the Overland. She is a very popular model in the Overland, but isn’t as popular elsewhere. What makes Umbra different than a typical land overlander? Well for one, she has 2 tails, her eye marks are above her eyes and she’s pretty tall for a female overlander. While Umbra was never bullied for her 2 tails when she was in primary school, other kids would either be fascinated or envious. When Umbra turned 16 years old, which at that point she was in secondary school, she started her fashion modelling career. Although Umbra was rejected a few times, she didn’t give up. It wasn’t until she settled in with her current fashion company, and stayed there for years. Umbra would wear either trendy clothes or very detailed outfits. She would travell around the Overland, going from island to island and would walk on the runway or catwalk. A lot of overlanders were fascinated by her unusual looks, and that’s how Umbra became popular in the Overland. It wasn’t until Umbra was in her mid 20s that she started to go on fashion shows outside of the Overland. She’s been to various countries including Equestria and the Crystal Empire. (Yes she’s been to other countries but I only included Equestria and the Crystal Empire because they’re the most famous in the fashion industry) Umbra would gain a lot of attention, especially in Equestria to the point that Photo Finish even took pictures of Umbra. Nowadays, Umbra still enjoys being a fashion model, though one can’t tell by her serious face in most of her appearances. She current resides in Kebebasan, the capital of the Overland, which is located in Summer Island. (Sorry that the lore is ridiculously long.)

Don't be sorry about writing a lot, I think you did a great job.  I love Umbra's design here. She's a model, but almost looks like a princess in a way. I like the ideas behind her unique design like the two tails and eye marks above her eyes. I loved how she did not give up on her modeling career after facing a lot of rejection and that she still enjoys being a fashion model. Are you planning on drawing her in color or drawing her in other pieces?

Thanks! You might notice that Umbra is missing a horn (Land overlanders typically have horns). Umbra is missing a horn because after she was born (hatched), her horn didn’t grow properly, so when Umbra was a year or two old, her parents decided to take her to a doctor to surgically remove it. That’s another thing that made Umbra unique.

Oh wow! I totally missed that, that’s a unique detail.

Yes, Umbra is considered to be a "rarity" among other overlanders. (No pun intended.) One more thing. Umbra only models at night because she’s only ever awake at night, thus, she’s asleep during the day. Umbra has a rare condition where she’s asleep during the day, but awake at night. Only 20% of all overlanders have this condition, though majority of those with that condition are water overlanders. Umbra is a land overlander.
