I made this a while ago in 2017, and thought I'd post it here now that I've finally joined the forum. It's "cheat-y" in the sense that it uses way more channels than hardware would at the time, but it's still something that I'm somewhat proud of today.

I don't even remember how I did the DPCM samples now. (The compressed Pinkie voices at the beginning, and the percussion.) Like, I don't remember the process I did. I remember looking at some tutorial or another for it, at the very least.

 

Anyway, I'm not an intuitive musical genius. This, and many of my other 8-bit covers, are at least partly possible because I found a fan or another who made sheet music for me to build the rest of it around. I honestly wish I could credit the people who made the sheet music, but so much time has passed I don't think I can find them anymore.

And you indeed should be proud of it, as it's a very nicely done cover!

There's no shame in helping yourself with transcriptions/music sheets. These exist for a reason after all. I used these as a reference too, because it made working on covers much faster.

I hope you'll get back to producing more sometime in the future!

I hope so too, my eventual hope is that I can start producing original works, but it's likely going to be more as a creative "break" from writing and digital art, since unfortunately, medical issues prevent me from getting most normal jobs, and those are the most likely to be job-applicable if I get good at them.
